Samuel Marcus FRCS FRCOG, Medical Director

Dr Marcus qualified from Cairo University with honours and completed his specialist training in the UK. He is a fellow and a member of many national and international institutions including: fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, member of the British Fertility Society, member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and member of East Anglian Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Society.

He was appointed as a consultant at Bourn Hall Clinic, Cambridge UK in 1989 and is currently a consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Lead Fertility Clinician at Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust, London. He is also a consultant Gynaecologist at the Blackheath Hospital, London.

He has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of infertility, Polycystic ovarian syndrome, IVF, intrauterine insemination, surgical sperm retrieval and endometriosis and egg and embryo donation. Dr Marcus is an experienced gynaecological surgeon and has special interest in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, tubal surgery, removal of fibroids (myomectomy), endometriosis and menstrual problems.

Dr Marcus is the founder and medical director of www.ivf-infertility.com. He publishes and lectures on many aspects of assisted conception, obstetrics and gynaecology. He is the author and co-author of over 100 peer reviewed publications and chapters in text books.
