Professor Edwards was awarded the Nobel prize in Physiology and Medicine in 2010.

He has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of infertility, Polycystic ovarian syndrome, IVF, intrauterine insemination, surgical sperm retrieval, endometriosis and egg and embryo donation. Dr Marcus is an experienced gynaecological surgeon and has special interest in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, tubal surgery, removal of fibroids (myomectomy), endometriosis and menstrual problems.

Dr Marcus is passionate about ensuring patients are empowered with the knowledge of their condition and management options available. This drive lead to the development of www.ivf-infertility.com in 1999 a free non-affiliated website. He is the founder and medical director of this site and continues to maintain and update it.
