An infertility clinic will try and match the donor
and recipients ethnic background and physical characteristics as closely
as possible. However, the recipient's couple will be advised that any
matching can not be guaranteed.
Consideration should be given to blood type and Rh
factor, in particular with Rh negative recipients.
