Rectal electroejaculation (REE)

Semen collection, assessment and preparation

Semen seperation during rectal electroejaculation.

The semen analysis is performed after the semen is collected. The poor quality of semen from spinal cord injured men requires the use of special preparation.

After sperm preparation the fresh sperm is then used for treatment such as insemination, IVF or ICSI depending upon the sperm count and quality. Alternatively the semen sample is frozen for future use.
