Re: subchorionic hematoma

I had a subchorionic hemmorage around 7 weeks. Bled real bad, continued to spot for a long time. I had an increased chance of miscarriage but I had a blood clot on the placenta till 5 months. Baby is fine but very nerve wracking. Always tell your dr any increase in bleeding. If I had bled again my d...

Re: I need to vent to the only people who will understand...

Michelle_I say go for having another child. My gut tells me you really want another baby. I know I had a really strong desire like you tried for 3 years. I hope you and your husband can decide donor sperm/ donor embryo, never thought you would be having these conversations, but in the end whatever y...

Re: 1st IVF at 41

IVF is the most aggressive treatment. There are other protocols they can use. I used the antagonist, I hyperstim which is the opposite problem than yours but I think they use this protocol often for not producing many eggs. I had my #2 through IVF @ 38. Cost is an issue and sometimes it can take mul...

Re: Hives

Yes, I had an allergic reaction to the pio shots. The RE said it was probably the sesame seed oil. I was changed to cotton seed oil instead. Cotton seed was okay for me, no problems. My tushy was covered in welts, I had to go on steriods for awhile. It took a couple of weeks for it to go away. Call y...

Re: Should I be worried?

Then I had a ruptured cyst actually caused by the pregnancy, which happened when I was on vacation stupid me wait till I got back f...

Re: Should I be worried?

Did he do any bloodwork ? I guess he thinks your endometrium is shedding causing all the excess bleeding ??? I had a sub-chorionic hemmorhage with my last pregnancy and gushed blood with clots. My RE thought I was pregnant with twins and probably lost one. He never saw twins on ultrasound but said i...

Re: Should I be worried?

I would take a pregnancy test just to be sure. I would definitely call your DR and see them ASAP. I had a tubal pregnancy 2 times before, the first time I thought it was my period just kept bleeding no pain only to have surgery a couple of days later for a ectopic pregnancy. You never know maybe you...

Re: Lowering Cost of IVF...

I think my RE charges $5,500 for the fresh cycle and $3,000 for the meds. RE does have packages, which I didn't get. I think that is how they really make their money is on the packages. If you buy 3 cycles and only use one they profit from that. Plus, my RE is that good so it definitely works out fo...

Re: Lowering Cost of IVF...

My clinic charged $8,500 for a cycle. My first clinic charged around $15,000 for a fresh. It is unbelievable the difference in $$$. Plus, I got preggers and just had a baby with the cheaper clinic. What are other clinics charging if you don't mind me asking ?

Re: Mother's Day... Childless

I remember feeling that way, never knowing if my dreams will come true. IIt is a horrible feeling the uncertainity. The majority of people I think who deal with infertility will have a child, whether it is through adoption or having a baby themselves. It took me alot longer than I would haved liked, ...

Re: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differe

Go in with a positive attitude but I agree with brit it could take more than one cycle. I had a DD and had been pregnant naturally 2 other times and couldn't get pregnant for 3 years. Since I did have a history of proven fertility I thought in a cycle I would have a baby. 2 cancelled cycles one fail...

Re: Trying for baby number 2...

My personal opinion is that there isn't anything better to give your child but a sibling. I rather of had siblings than a car or even college paid for me. Both of course I never had paid for me either  I didn't want my DD by herself when someday DH and I will be gone. I wanted her to have famil...
