Hello All! Sorry I have been missing. I have been working so hard on school and getting a new job. Add to that, my "job" as the director of the BSA's two week day camp and I have very little down time. I will try to catch up on the posts, but I will need a little time. I am glad to see we are still ...

Hello Kim! Do not worry about the drugging. You really are doing what you feel is best. If you talk to your ped will likely tell you to follow your instincts. I am glad to hear your big girl is crawling. It was so very cool to see Makayla do it for the fist time. Now it will seem like she grows so f...

Hello Everyone! Colleen - You are very brave! I am finished. I have my three miracles and I am happy. I know we could not really afford for us to have another (not to mention I only got one embryo last time). So we are focusing on enjoying what is left of our time as parents. I know that sounds like...

Kim - Just a tip, I have one really good method for baby colds. Sudatabs is made by Vicks and it a tablet that you place in your shower. I used the lavender mint one for Makayla and my boys. For Makayla, I turn the shower on as hot as I can stand and point it away from her. I sit in the bottom of th...

Kim - Colleen recommended the Eddie Bauer. I actually bought the Evenflo that has a bar and is only a three point harness. I have to fight Makayla, so it is hard to buckle three things. This one only buckles in one place. They are hard to find, but are inexpensive and easy to install. I used the sam...

Kim - Merry Christmas! I see you survived with the twins! Did you have a memorable day? Did they open their gifts on their own? Makayla and I are basking in the Florida sun. We had two wonderful Christmas parties (one with each grandma). My Granny died and was buried on Friday. I was not able to mak...

Congrats on joining the pregnancy ranks. Like you, I only had one embryo transfered and we had one baby. As for the numbers, they vary from person to person. Just enjoy the ride, if you are blessed with twins, enjoy it and if not, enjoy your angel too!

Kim, You are doing fine. As the babes get used to eating food, they will demand more food and less milk. They are really the best indicators. As for variety, Makayla has a fairly large variety at the dinner table. She now get a meat, a veggie, and once finished with those she is given a fruit mixed ...

Kim - I am glad to hear they are liking their highchairs. We have had Makayla at the dinner table from day one. We started off with her in her car seat and once she could hold her head, we put her at the table in the highchairs that attach to the table. She loves it and it is her signal that it is t...

Kim and Colleen - Makayla is still on the meds. She is doing much better, but she still spits up everywhere. We are still carrying spit rags when we go out because she is good at getting the floors! However, if she eats things with cereal, she spits up less. The ped told us it could take up to a yea...

Kim - They are fine. When Makayla started solids, she did the same. She completely eliminated one feeding session. As for the cereal, about every three days you can introduce a new item. I do not force her to eat the same item for every meal, but at least once every day for three days. My suggestion...

Heidi I do not have twins, but I do have experience with your problem. My daughter is the love of my life, but she had major colic. As it turns out, she has reflux, but she was colicy until she turned about four and a half months old. Keeping her on a schedule (for sleeping, going out) that is not r...

Colleen I recently had this issue with Makayla. I solved using a little trick. I started the first day by giving Makayla small sips of water (or milk) out of a regular paper cup. This way she got interested int a different method. I actually did this for about three days until I noticed she started ...
