Some children with compromised immunte systems will have trouble with the shot...my babysitter's grand daughter ended up in the hospital, BUT, she'd had open heart surgery at 3 months, and is not fully healthy. If your children are healthy, get the shot...it'll only protect them this season but this...

He can walk and talk when he feels like it, but he's a cuddle bug! Had a clown at our b-day party...a friend of ours...a 'real' clown. Lots of lovely pict...

Deflect by saying "I'm having twins! Isn't it great? Just say congratulations!" Anyone who pursues a nosy inquiry just deserves a shrug and for you to say "just be happy for me, all that matters is that we're having babies!" Few people were nosy when I got pregnant...probably cuz I'm older (40s) and...

Hi all... I agree with EVERYTHING you have all said about the Octuplet mom BUT, I hope the discussion, and the media, moves beyond her craziness.. There are newborns' lives at stake here... and other children's lives. I saw photos of the babies and my heart BROKE...they are newborns...who will care ...

Literazi...I am so here, wishing you and your husband and baby girls HEALTH... as to lists? I had so many for the hospital. The important ones were not, well important... We used the hospital outfits... and, since yours will be premies and in the NICU most likely, don't sweat things...when they are ...

Miley sounds fine...maybe she gets bored and does things like bang her head...The First 12 Months of Life is a good book to read (well, I think it is, for what it's worth)...I remember the doc talking about such behaviors as hitting heads against the wall...can't recall what he said but it was liste...

I think with 2 there are many options.

It's when the 3rd child comes along that the 'mini van' rears its ugly--and I mean considerably ugly--head.

I hate MVans ... but hope to have a 3rd ... OY

I wish we had done it. I had an emergency c-section, so there wasn't really time to discuss it with the OB, who was a partner in the office of my regular OB... I don't know, not many people bank their cord blood...if your family has a history of genetic problems...do it. Talk to your OB, and possibl...

Kholtan, I meant to say how sorry I am re: the twin who is no longer here..it kills me to think of that. On the TWINS board, a woman lost her identical twin son at 5 mos to SIDS...it still breaks my heart to think of it. I think once you have twins, the thought of one not being here is unbearable. W...

I just want to say that I am very sorry that you have had the 2 losses, and I wish you a good, healthy delivery with your pregnancy! It sounds like you still have questions for the doctor that have been unanswered. Make an appointment and ask him about your specific questions, ie: the size of the fe...

It will all depend on how long you carry your twins. Mine were born at 37 weeks and were healthy weights...6.6 and 5.11. We barely touched the newborn clothing...they grew quickly, as they were quite long... Also, it depends on how often you will do laundry. If you have help--a nanny or mother or si...

I don't get it...I don't keep up and then I realize that Tolbee is going to give birth in May, and Kholtan, you are 18 weeks along... That is such lovely, joyful news for you both!!! No challenger programs in the D.C. area... I think the education type of decisions are incredibly difficult to make.....

DItto the Tylenol...find out how much you can take from your OB ie: Nausea...it was my only side effect with twins, and it was a drag...it went on for quite awhile, and now, even post-delivery? I still get nauseous from time to time (don't even go there about needing Prilosec now, when I never neede...
