Re: Beautiful Babies Due in 2011 (Combined Group)

Lou, ON the exercise note, I just wanted to say that my OB told me the 140 heartbeat rule too. I laughed in her face. At the time I was swimming with a masters class doing a vigorous hour in the pool twice a week, and running three times a day. I kept running until 25 weeks with my DS with lots of p...

Re: Anyone had a D&C?

I'm recovering at home with the sweetest husband doting on me. SO far no crying today. The first time since we found an empty sac. Even if I cry later on, making to the afternoon without shedding a tear is a record. Maybe a leaf is turning? Thanks for all your responses. I really appreciate it. Lost...

Re: Anyone had a D&C?

Thanks Karen. My best friend is an ob-gyn so i asked her a ton of questions, and also asked my doc too about the risks of a DandC and it appears the fibroid surgery I had way back when before my son was born was 10 times more of a risk than a DandC. Thanks for your concern though. Lostgirl

Re: Anyone had a D&C?

thank you so much for responding ladies. I can't stop crying. But I know one day I'll feel better. Enjoy your pregnancies. And Leorira your twins!! Been in such a fog - otherwise would have said so sooner. (p.s. sorry about that job not working out.)

Anyone had a D&C?

Hi, An u/s a week ago showed that I had an empty sac but no fetal pole and no HB. Another yesterday showed same thing at 8 weeks. I am getting a D&C later this week so I'm wondering of the gals who have had the misfortune of having a D&C, what was it like? And what was the recovery like? And did you...

Re: Beautiful Babies Due in 2011 (Combined Group)

Thanks Sonya
What was misleading was my more than doubling betas. First time 71, four days later 517, two days later 1190. SO hardly barely doubling... but ultrasound revealed the truth, as it were. Lostgirl

Re: Beautiful Babies Due in 2011 (Combined Group)

Before that darned u/s I'm not sure I even knew the term blighted ovum. is that what it is when it's just a gestational sac, no heartbeat? Anyway, been weeping like a nutter. My son keeps trying to figure out what happened to his mama. I told him that my heart is broken and now he wants to kiss my h...

Re: Beautiful Babies Due in 2011 (Combined Group)

I have bad news. Went for u/s today at 7 weeks 4 days and no fetal pole, no heartbeat. Just a gestational sac. I'm so very sad, really no words for it. Thanks for your support, and sorry no time for personals tonight. Lostgirl

Re: Beautiful Babies Due in 2011 (Combined Group)

Ok folks, I'm scared! I have my first ultrasound on Monday, which will be week 7 for me, and I'm so terrified I won't see a heartbeat, or anyone in there. I definitely feel pregnant, tired, peeing like mad, etc. But I also fear it's all in my head since I haven't had a beta in so long... It's normal...

Re: No symptoms during 2WW, success stories?

HI Kay I think it's hard to tell whether symptoms matter. Our second IVF cycle resulted in my son, and I felt symptoms during the 2ww (was tired, had aching boobs, felt aching ovaries) but I think it was all the progesterone vaginally. My body had never experienced anything like it. But this latest ...

Re: To Bed Rest or Not To Bed Rest????

Katie, In my cycles, I never bed rested. That said, I seriously chilled as a couch potato post ET until the next day where I went to my desk job and did the minimal amount of moving around, and headed home to chill as soon I could. I did spend a lot of time visualizing and checking in with my body t...
