Traveling with Infant Twins

We're due to take a trip from NC to Indiana in April. Initially we planned to drive it which would take us about 11 hrs. The twins will be about 4 1/2 months by then. Now I see where we could fly there for cheap if we buy our tickets by 2/12/2010. Has anyone had experience driving this long with twi...

Hey Y'all! (in my NC accent  ) I can tell everyone is busy busy busy! It's been quiet here lately. Tea , you're a trooper for even being able to do 1/2 BM! I tried that for awhile and couldn't hang :P . As far as naps go, before I came back to work it was whenever they fell asleep. No schedule ...

Kelly, tell me about day care cost! The only way I'm able to afford it is because it's offered at my job at a fraction of the cost. I was placed on a waitlist and didn't think I'd get in. We'd decided that DH would quit his job and stay home with the babies if they didn't get in at work. We couldn't...

Kelly , we must be immature too because we crack up at the twins farts, lol! Sometimes they are so loud you can't help but laugh. As far as sleeping, Jos has slept for 7 hours once but usually she goes 5 - 6 hours. Chaz is STILL waking up every 3 hours! He's approaching 12 lbs (if he isn't already ...

I also had a weak cervix (seems to be common with multiples). Had a cerclage placed at 17 weeks, at which time I was .5 cm dilated! It's a miracle I made it to 37 weeks considering my docs' initial goals were to get me to 24 weeks.

I was 37 wks 1 day, planned c-section. I was scheduled for 38 weeks but my little girl was small and they thought it best to take her out sooner rather than later. In the end she was a healthy 4 lb 4 ozs! My 6 lb 6 oz boy spent 4 days in NICU for breathing problems...go figure!

Chaz is also gassy! We call him Gassy Chazzy  . We usually just have a good chuckle when guest are over. I hate when it smells so bad you swear they have a poopie diaper, then you check and nothing. Oh and I can't tell you how many times I've gone to smell his little butt to see if he's pooped ...

We quit using our bottle warmer too. It would either take too long to get the milk warm, then we'd leave it in too long and it would be too hot. Now we just use look warm water and the powder formula so we don't warm the bottles at all except for when we use the liquid formula from the fridge which ...

Tara, I don't think you can pamper her too much at this age. We try to console them any way we can for now. I have to rock Joslyn until she's in a deep sleep before she will be content in her swing or crib. I can put Chaz down drowsy and he'll go to sleep without a fight. Every baby is different. Do...

Tara, no he's not concerned :( . Keeps saying that she's healthy and growing otherwise. And trust me, I emphasize it every time I speak with him but he assures me she's fine and there's really nothing we can do but wait for her digestive system to get stronger. Usually it's only once or twice a day ...

Thanks ladies. I guess there isn't much that can be done. Jos is projectile vomitting, sometimes up to about 3 times a day. She had a good day on Saturday and didn't vomit at all! But then vomitted twice yesterday. I was going to try the Enfamil A.R. but then read about the thickening issue and clog...

dys24, Chaz was a major grunter! I figured out though that his was mostly from gas. I changed his formula and he immediately got better. I also started to burp him more and occassionally give him gas drops. Now when he starts to grunt in the middle of the night, I grab him, burp him and he immediate...

Amy , I LOVE the Playtex VentAire bottles!! We first tried the wide nipple ones and went back to get more and they only had standard. I find they like the standard nipple ones even better. All the Avent bottles started to leak and I thought I was doing something wrong until I talked to a friend who...

Tara, we only get the sleep smiles too. We wonder what in the world they could be dreaming about to make them smile that we aren't doing! Lol
