Amy, DH was also working New Year's Eve. I spent it alone with the twins. We usually put the twins to bed when we go to bed, so somewhere between 10:00 and midnight. They will sleep hard around 8:00 but like you say it seems pointless to move them from the boppy or the swing to the crib just to pick...

Tara I remember those days with Joslyn. She was so quiet and slept so much we were asking, what's all the fuss about...this is easy! Now, the child is never happy, lol. Her favorite spot is on someone's chest and she's only content anywhere else if she's in a deep sleep and doesn't realize where sh...

Tara, my babies aren't getting their vaccines until 2 months either. We also had the problem with Joslyn spitting up/vomitting. Initially I think DH was forcing her to drink too much. We cut back the amount we were giving her and it got better. Still occassionally she has her days where she vomits (...

Hi Nancy. My 8 lb boy is getting 3.5 to 4 oz every 3 hours. My 5 lb girl is getting 2 to 2. 5 oz every 3 hours. They've been eating more often lately though. Like having to have a "snack" in between feedings. I think they may be going through a growth spurt? Anyone else experience this? Amy, I think...

aims, how has your c-section recovery been going? Just in the last few days I've been getting this kinda sharp pain in my lower right abdomen. At first it was just when I coughed or sneezed and it hurt like crap! Now it's like a constant pain. Very annoying. I've read that the incision heals from th...

I'm here, I'm here!! :D :D :D So has anyone taken their baby/babies out yet? Whenever we go to a pedi appt we've stopped to a store or two (Target/Kohls). One lady had the nerve to tell me they were too young to be out. I almost told her to mind her business but I decided to bite my tongue and ignor...

Hi ladies! Sorry I've been MIA. I did deliver my twins last Friday, November 27th :). Chaz was born at 6 lbs 6 oz and Joslyn at 4 lbs 4 oz. Chaz was immediately taken to NICU (or Special Care as they call it here) because of his breathing rate. He was breathing way too fast. He ended up spending at ...

Amy , I was talked into buying that hands-free brassiere thingy from Motherhood. Can't report on how effective it is yet obviously, hehe. My BFF who's also a nurse practioner says you can easily cut holes in old bras and that's worked well for her. Just cut the holes really small at first so that i...

Nicole , I was thinking the same thing! Is anyone in this Dec 2009 Mommies group going to make it to Dec?? Kelly , I think it's just from all my past complications. I still have the cerclage (stitch) and they don't want me to risk laboring and tearing through it...and neither do I! OUCH!! Eve...

Well my scheduled c-section did get moved up a week! I'll go in next Friday, Nov 27th. I'll be 37 weeks then. I'm SO ready! Soon after the appt today I was feeling pretty horrible. The pressure on my cervix and my rectum (TMI I know) is getting unbearable and I'm so glad I only have to put up with i...

Amy, I would like to breastfeed, but I wouldn't be too torn up about it if I weren't able to. I'm going to give it a real try but if I find it too difficult I have no problem going with formula. We'll see how it goes! No, I didn't get any steroid shots. Back when they were giving me the ffn tests ev...
