Re: November 2009 babies?

Hi, Nancy. Sorry to hear you're going through the stress of dealing with insurance. As for sleep, just trust that one day he'll fall into a rhythm and start sleeping longer periods. The book may not help with new ideas but I just found it very interesting and for me it was helpful to get insight int...

Re: November 2009 babies?

Wondercat - Cute photo! We have the very same highchair. I bet he'll love the beach. Noah loves to be outdoors. At his 6-month checkup, he was 25 1/2" long and 14 lbs. 9 1/2 oz. He also loves baby food. Carrots, squash and banana are favorites. He also likes oatmeal. We're working on sitting up as w...

Re: November 2009 babies?

Hi, everyone. It's been awhile since anyone has written so thought I'd give an update. We are doing great and loving every moment with our little guy. He's such a happy, smiley little boy. He seems to have gotten into a comfort zone with sleeping. Some nights he sleeps 10 hours straight without waki...

Re: November 2009 babies?

Hello, everyone. Wondercat - Sean is a cutie and looks very happy! Nancy - Thanks for the info. We went to a different pediatrician for a second opinion and she didn't recommend needing a helmet either. She is referring us to a physical therapist for their opinion as well though and so they can give...

Re: November 2009 babies?

Hi, ladies. Nancy, how did they decide to do physical therapy and a helmet? Does he have a hard time turning his neck? Our peds keeps saying the flat spot will work itself out but I've been worried about it. He doesn't have tight neck muscles and can turn his head fine though. Sleeping has been impr...

Nancy - our son has a flat side as well. He was born with it that way because of how he was positioned in the womb and now the flattness continues because he favors his head turned to that side when he's lying down and sitting. The doctor says the neck muscles on that side need to lengthen and that ...

Great to hear from you, Wondercat! So did you do anything special to get your son to sleep so great at night? Ours can't seem to get on a schedule like that and has even gotten worse again lately where he's waking up every couple of hours.

Nancy - good to hear back from you! I did start out breastfeeding but he is now on formula. His pediatrician has not recommended any vitamins. Has yours said when to start solids? Ours recommends rice cereal at 4 months and then veggies and fruits at 7 months. As for sleeping, he actually had one ni...

Hello, ladies! Like Nancy I would also love to hear how everyone's babies are doing. Our son is growing like crazy and cooing and smiling a lot. His little smiles just melt my heart. He's now almost 13 weeks and weighing 11 lbs. How are your babies sleeping at night? Our little guy is not a great sl...

Hello. As for advice, if you have family that can stay with you for the first couple of weeks after, it's much needed. You will be so exhausted and in recovery mode and having people there to look after the baby and cook meals, etc. allows you to get much needed naps. The pain following a c-section ...

Hello, Ladies! Well, I have big news. Our baby boy, Noah Jeffrey, was born at 3:15 p.m. on Oct. 16 (3 weeks early). He's 2 weeks old today and already growing and changing! My delivery was not exactly routine. My water broke at 4 a.m. and when I got to the hospital my blood pressure was sky high. Th...

Wondercat - No, I've not started dilating yet. My OB kind of hopes I start soon since the baby is so very low in my pelvis. I had a flu shot about a month ago already. My OB gives the one with no preservatives in it which I think means no mercury as it's safer for pregnant women. I've been wondering...
