Hello, Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well. I am at 35 wks 4 days now and have gone off my meds for contractions. I've not noticed a big change in my contractions so it makes me wonder if the pills were really doing anything. I'm just happy to be off of them and let nature take its course now. I'm...

Hello, ladies! Glad to hear everyone is doing so well. I had my weekly appt. today and am now 75% effaced. My cervix is still in tact though so I'm not dilating yet. I will be going off my contraction meds between weeks 35 and 36 and let nature take its course. This coming Sunday is week 35 for me. ...

Wondercat - Thanks for keeping us all laughing! Aspotoftea - Good luck with the u/s. I'm sure you're looking forward to seeing the babies. I have a non-stress test weekly now. I am usually on the monitors for about 40 minutes. I also typically have my cervix checked weekly. In the last two weeks I'v...

aspotoftea - You're doing so great being on bedrest for so long! I know it's probably not easy. I am taking Niphedipine (Procardia) for my contractions. Wondercat - I did try warm baths but they didn't seem to help me much. Nancy - We've been thinking about cord banking so I guess we better get busy...

Hi, ladies. I hope everyone is doing well and hanging in there. I'm still having contractions and they've gotten more intense. I'm still taking the medication and am supposed to really slow down now and take it easy. My OB says our goal is to get me to 35 weeks. I'll be 32 weeks this Sunday. It's be...

early contractions

Hi, everyone. I have been having quite a few early contractions. My doctor did run some labwork and found I am not in early labor and my cervix is not dilated so that's good news. However, he said if I continue contracting, that sometimes can trigger early labor. I am currently 30 weeks. So he's put...

aspotoftea - So good to hear from you and glad you're hanging in there! What did the contractions you were having feel like and how often were you having them? Up until the u/s tech told me I was having a contraction, I didn't even know I was having them! I have an appt. on Monday with my OB so will...

I had those same kinds of pains early on. It was a really sharp shooting pain if I sneezed. Usually stopped me in my tracks it hurt so much. I was told it could be ovary pain or perhaps round ligament pain. As I got a little further along, I also had one really bad episode that lasted several hours ...

Excited - Welcome home! Sounds like the vacation was just what you needed. My husband and I took an all-day birth preparation class and tour two Saturdays ago. We found it worthwhile. I especially appreciated learning about the stages of labor and getting more detailed information about epidurals. I...

Wondercat - The u/s tech was the one who told me the percentile from what the computer came up with after inputting the measurements. I did, however, find this chart of growth. http://www.babycenter.com/average-fetal-length-weight-chart Have any of you been having quite a few Braxton-Hicks contracti...

I had an u/s this morning and the doctor feels that everything is fine and not to worry. Our baby boy's weight was shown to be just under 3 lbs. The ultrasound tech said that his measurements show him to be on the smaller side (27th percentile of which 50 is average). But from what I'm researching o...

I think we were able to see the sex at a 16-week u/s. We were really surprised to learn so early. So you never know, you might get a good enough view that they'll be able to tell you.

I had my regular OB appt. today. My uterine measurement came back a centimeter short but still within normal range. However, the doctor wants me to go in for an ultrasound on Monday just to see if our baby's development and growth is on track. So...guess I got my wish for an ultrasound. I just hope ...

Excited-in-LA - Have a nice relaxing time on vacation! I'm sure reducing your stress will do the trick and both you and baby will do great. My husband and I went to an all-day birthing prep class over the weekend. It was very worthwhile. Most interesting and helpful was learning about the stages of ...

Wondercat - That is a very difficult situation. So sorry you and your husband are going through this loss right now. Do take care and good luck with the ultrasound.
