Re: Nov/Dec 2009 Babies

Wondercat - Sean is so adorable! Faith likes to put her fists into her mouth and suck on it! During tummy time, she is quiet for 5 minutes and then gets frustrated, but she does try to lift her head and chest which is great!! Her "coos" are getting longer now. Its almost like a song :-) Did you all ...

Re: Nov/Dec 2009 Babies

Hi Ladies, It has been quiet here. Hope all the mommies and little ones are doing great. Hope you all had a great weekend. Its getting warmer here in Washington, DC. Finally I can take Faith out to the park in her stroller. She hasn't really seen the outside world yet. Whenever we take her out, she ...

Re: Nov/Dec 2009 Babies

dys - thanks for the tips on car seat. I will try the mirror thing and see if that works for Faith.

She has been opening her hands a lot. She also started putting her hands together and also holds her leg with her hand. It is so cute!!

And she does wake up for a bottle around 2 or 3AM.

Re: Nov/Dec 2009 Babies

Ladies, I am having some small issues. May be silly ones, but true! 1. The baby carrier (that comes with the car seat) is so very heavy with the baby. I am finding it very difficult to carry it. Every time we go out DH always ends up carrying it. 2. Faith sleeps in the nursery in her crib. We sleep ...

Re: Nov/Dec 2009 Babies

I couldn't digest that Faith will actually be spending more time some where else than at home with us! She will come home around 5pm, and will fall asleep in about 3 or 4 hours :-( That is so sad...

Re: Nov/Dec 2009 Babies

Cynthia, Faith will complete 3 months on March 7th. And yes, she is hungry when she wakes up in the night. She finishes her 5 ounces of formula quickly and then falls back to sleep. Just yesterday, she slept from 10PM to 3AM and after a feed, she slept till 8AM. May be she is just starting to go int...

Re: Nov/Dec 2009 Babies

Amy, Your twins are so cute. I will attach Faith's picture when I figure out how!! I am using Enfamil Gentlease for Faith. It does help with her gas, but since it is digesting fast, she wakes up every 3 hours. I couldn't get her to sleep for longer periods. I am actually thinking of switching back t...

Re: Nov/Dec 2009 Babies

Cynthia - do you bathe the twins everyday? That's a lot of work!! I bathe faith 3 days a week. On other days I just give her a sponge bath. But with all the spitting she does, she needs a bath every day! I just returned from a trip to India, so I haven't established any schedule with Faith. I return...

Re: Traveling with Infant Twins

Cynthia- I wanted to share my experince of travelling with Faith. I made a trip to India for two weeks and came back just a couple of days back. My father is dying from liver cancer, so I wanted him to see his last grand daughter and get his blessings. Faith had a great time with her grandparents an...

Hello Ladies,

Faith is on a smiling spree. She smiles and coos at whoever is talking to her. And she makes new sounds. It is so cute to watch her.

She still strains really hard to poop though. She keeps grunting and pushing several minutes before she poops. I feel so sorry for her.

Kellie,

The longest sleep Faith had was so far 5 hours. She sleeps that long when I give her a warm bath before putting her to bed.

Regarding the nipples, I bought some disposable nipples and in the instruction it said fast flow is for infants 6 months and older.

I agree about the swaddle. It works great!

Faith is also very gassy! Sorry for the TMI, but when she passes gas, I hear the BRRRR and then it smells so bad. I am so embarrassed when she passes gas when friends and relatives visit!!

Hi Ladies, Couple of problems for which I wanted get some input from you all: 1. Faith sometimes cries for no reason. Even after she is well fed, she keeps crying non stop. Does this mean she is colic? Any remedies? 2. Also, when I make her sleep, she falls asleep in my arms but when I lay her down ...

Cynthia - is your ped Ok with the projectile vomiting 3 times a day? I didn't intend to worry you, but you might want to double check. Because I heard that projectile vomiting needs to be treated.
