Jenny - Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Melo - Good luck with the retrieval - I'm sending you positive vibes for lots of merry little embryos!!! We are transfer 1 5 day blasto. As with Friday the 13th - I'm with you. Maybe it is lucky. My fav little dog (we have 4) was born on the 1/1 ...

Re: August Frozen Transfer

Melo - Good luck! I hope all goes well with pick up. I understand the whole not telling people at work. I'm sure you can imagine how hard it was to come up with why I was in hospital for 6 days and had two weeks off work with the OHSS! I had to come up with a reason why they shouldn't even visit me ...

Re: May cycle buddies :)

Great news PA_FA - and don't worry too much about the 4x a day finger pricking, it's not so bad and I have to do it every day anyways! Endo wants me doing it 6 - 8 X a day once pregnant! (which should start this friday by the way!!!).

Re: August Frozen Transfer

Melmar - I have excellent news on the drinking front! The friend who was probably most likely to pressure me into having a drink with her texted me on Saturday night to tell me they are moving her wedding from March 2011 to October 2010 because she's pregnant. So voila - no pressure to drink - I'll ...

Re: Ghost(or anyone) TMI Question

Hmm, wide variety of opinions on this out there by the sounds of it! My RE is of the opinion you can do as you please. Simply go about your usual lifestyle. I was majorly concerned about horse riding, since I ride every day and he said I can do what I like as long as there's no pain.

Re: August Frozen Transfer

JJ - Sorry, I meant to add Happy Birthday to my post yesterday! Oh, what I wouldn't do for a few glasses of wine, but I've promised myself that I wouldn't. I figured it was easier to cut out the wine that the sugar - let's just manage one thing at a time! On the wine front, I'm really going to ...

Re: August Frozen Transfer

Melo - JJ is right, no chance of OHSS with a FET cycle - thankfully! Next time I see the inside of a hospital room had better be because I'm giving birth! I also completely understand your meltdown. I had a LOT of them in the fresh cycle. Complete nut case, especially when I was in the hospital with ...

Re: August Frozen Transfer

Malmar - welcome and I hope you're right about the May babies! I'm a May baby and so is my mum - so hopefully that's a good omen!

JerseyJane - OMG, I'm so glad it's not just me feeling frisky on the estrogen!

Blair - Interesting to know you are a biology teacher. I work at a university in science ...

Re: August Frozen Transfer

Melo - I'm a newby. This is my first FET cycle. I did a fresh cycle in May 2010 which put me in hospital for 6 nights with OHSS. only 18 eggs, 14 fert, 6 embies made it to day 5 but only 2 frozen. The bloodwork leading up to ER didn't put me at high risk of OHSS but I certainly walked out of the day ...

Re: Progesterone Suppositories - discharge question - TMI

Sorry Leorira - I can't answer your question, but I do have one of my own!

I'm about to do an FET cycle and have crinone gel left over from my fresh cycle as I never got to transfer and have pessaries from the script from this cycle. Doc as said to use the crinone first and then the pessaries. It ...

Re: August Frozen Transfer

Melo - I'm on the same week as you by the looks of it - ultrasound this week and transfer the week of the 9th Aug. Maybe it's a southern hemisphere thing - I'm in Geelong, Vic. Australia.

McFarland - welcome! Were you in the May Cycle buddies group?

Re: OHHS UGH!

Krissy - I ended up with OHSS the day after retrieval (and ended up in hospital, including ICU, for 6 days), so I can understand your pain. Be sure to be completely upfront with your doc about what's going on. If it's not too severe, I'm sure they'll still do the transfer. I know my clinic was still ...
