Hmmm, I wonder if the units they are looking at E2 in Australia are different from US or where ever you are from? Dr. said that he was suprised about the OHSS because they don't stop the trigger unless the E2 is over 25,000 and will do ER if over 18,000 but will not do the transfer ...
I've been absent for a while now, so just reading still to catch up on everyone's news. I've been sick with a cough/cold and then managed to stab myself in the hand with a kitchen knife whilst cleaning the kitchen two hours before my IVF appointment to go over everything that happened on ...
Gr8countrygirl - Good luck! I am in a similar boat to you - my DH had a vasectomy 18 years ago after 2 kids with his first wife. I'm 33 with PCOS. We did our first round of IVF in May and only got as far as doing the ICSI/fert and then I got really sick with OHSS and spent a week in hospital, so I ...
Having read the costs of IVF in the US from people on this site, I too wonder how on earth anyone can afford it. We just did our first fresh IVF cycle here in Australia, and it cost us around $5200 (in Aussie dollars, so that would be about $4300 USD by today's exchange rate). We will receive some ...
Rio - Hugs honey. Sounds like you're having a very rough time of it. I hope everything sorts it's self out soon, and is there any chance at all that things might end up with a happier ending?
Pep - Congrats on that BFP! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your US!
It's just so weird don't you think that using IVF you know all the details so there's no real suprise to find out "Oh, I'm pregnant" so when it comes to ultrasounds and blood tests, it's all that more ...
Thanks for your input - much appreciated as always and exactly what I was thinking. I'll ring the clinic in the morning. Still getting cramping but nothing else.
As I have previously posted, I had cancelled my ET because of OHSS. The Ob/Gyn (one of the good ones that actually works in the IVF clinic I am going to, rather than one of the ones I had to explain to what OHSS was...) in the hospital told me to expect AF to turn up 12 - 14 days post egg retrieval ...
Bei - hope you are feeling better soon. I can sympathise with you more than you can imagine! I hope you get plenty of good embies from your 18 eggs! Hugs babe.
I also wanted to say a big thanks to everyone here for their concern. You have no idea how comforting it was to know that there was people ...
Lisadcb - Hugs babe, I know how tough it must be with all those newborns arriving. Whilst in hospital, it seemed to me as though they kept putting me under the care of pregnant nurses or nurses who had IVF horror stories of their own that they felt the need to share with me. At least they didn't end ...
