 Hey, I could have joined you this morning - I was awake from 3 am and finally got up at 4 am and watched telly until 6 am before crawling back in to bed for some well-earned sleep. Watchdog and Countdown were my favoured viewings this morning!! It's really annoying waking up every hour and th...

 Hi all, Still no news!! My BP had gone up even further this morning, so I;m now having it monitored daily at my GP surgery. Had some acupuncture this afternoon to try and induce labour - hasn't done anything yet, but it's a bit early. I'm having some more on Friday if nothing's happened by the...

Hi, Yes Shell - I guess a sweep is the same as an internal examination - if a bit rough. It's supposed to help induce labour, but only if you're ready. I wouldn't recommend it, but I'll do anything at this point, plus with us all having been through IVF, we're used to our bits being prodded around! ...

Hi Helen, I didn't have any trouble sleeping through the night until later on in the pregnancy (probably your body getting you used to sleepless nights!). I find getting up and watching telly downstairs helps me nod off eventually (I normally end up watching Coronation Street that I have taped, or C...

Hi Wibbs, Glad you're 21 week scan went well - it's so nice to be able to see them again isn't it, and at this scan you get such a good picture of them. It does go quickly, but I can assure you that the last few weeks go really slowly!!! You just want them out at the end so you can meet him / her. W...

Due date gone - induction planned for Sunday

 Hi guys, Well, my due date has been and gone without so much as a twinge! I keep telling the baby that it's lovely and sunny and warm out here, but it obviously doesn't believe me! I went to the hopsital yesterday and saw a doctor about being induced. My feet are still hurting, and my BP is ...

Hi Louise, It's funny that we're all getting so close now and all moaning about how uncomfortable this last stage of pregnancy is!! Hope your twins make an arrival shortly - I don't envy you having to push 2 out - the thought of getting one out is bad enough! I'm sure it will all be worth it i...

 Hi - glad to see that you're hanging on in there!! This wait is worse than the post-ET 2ww I think, just 'cos it's so bloody uncomfortable. I saw my midwife yesterday and she's booked me in for a hospital appointment on Monday (my due date) to check my swelling feet / ankles/ hands and abdomen...

Dear Rachel, Sorry to butt in on your thread. I had steroid treatment (prednisolone 25mg daily) for 'active' NK cells on my last (4th) ICSI cycle and achieved a positive pregnancy. I was at the Lister Hospital for this. My NK cells were normal (i.e. in terms of levels) but found to be active. I have...

Hi Shell, Feeling as though I cann't wait until it's here now - I don't want to be pregnant any more, I want my baby! I'm waddling around and have a few pains down below when I stand up. I guess the baby is nearly fully engaged, so it's pressing down now. It's just so boring playing the waiting game...

:D Dear Adey, Many congratulations on your new arrival and for finally being off the top of the list (it's me now)!! How amazing that she arrived on her due date - especially after our conversation on the topic last week. I'm soooo pleased that the birth was straightforward and didn't take too long....

Hi Dagny, I also read this and stressed about it as I found I was waking up on my back in the middle of the night. I was told by my midwife not to worry about it. If the baby is in any danger you will find out - you may become breathless and feel faint. I sleep mainly on my side now, but occasionall...

Hi, We've done our nursery out in bright yellow, with blue cupboard doors (it's tough if it's a girl as I'm not repainting it!!). I agree that lilac for a boy is a bit daft. Mothercare does have some naff colours - I chose cream for the bedding, which is very boring, but neutral. Sure the baby won't...

 I measured myself with a tape measure last night (it's no longer economical to do the loo roll test) and I measured 46 inches (OMG)!!! Mind you, I only have a week to go,
