I don't understand. why did he back out? because he was scared? first of all, there's nothing to be scared of, and secondly, i don't intend to be mean, but if your problem is male factor then you can't go ahead until he does something about it!! Just so you know, my dh had no problem at all with his...

Hi Girls i'm going to have to leave this thread because i went to see my consultant last night, following my dh's successful sperm retrieval, thinking we could start immediately. He said there were no available dates for egg collection until late Nov/early Dec. I'm really disappointed because we fir...

what a load of insensitive bitches!! this has made me really angry! I think it would make you feel a lot better if you found out who owns the chemist and write to them about these women. Then just don't go in again. if you got their names, even better as you can name them in the letter and say how u...

Hi i watched it last night. it was good to see someone going through the same exact thing as me - the man had had a vasectomy just like my dh. it was also reassuring to see the woman get a positive result after bleeding during her 2ww. I also watched the Baby Lab at 9.00 which is American and showed...

so is everyone getting impatient now? i know i am. My consultant won't even let me book an appointment with him until the results of David's (my dh) Surgical Sperm Retrieval are through. David's not dreading it - he just wants us to be able to start too. it's so frustrating because the Androgynist h...

Hi Everyone I'm also hoping to start late Sep or early Oct. My dh is having surgical sperm retrieval on 15 Sep (and the Androgynist has 100% success rate so i'm assuming he'll get some for us to use for ICSI). After that i should get my date to start - v. first attempt so fingers crossed. Good luck ...

I've had loads of general anaesthetics this year for problems with my eyes and am wondering what kind of anaesthetic they give you for egg collection as i don't wan...

Hi

sorry to hear it's been so awkward for you so far. At least you're seeing the consultant now. I hope it goes well tomorrow. If he recommends another way to check you're ovultating, i'd be interested to hear as it's another 2 wks til i see my consultant.

thanks

advice on blood tests please

Hi I'm in the process of having blood tests before we start ivf with ICSI (because my DH has had a vasectomy). I'm not that regular but my average cycle is 30 days so i was told to go for a blood test to check if i'm ovulating on day 23. It came back as "abnormal" which worried me but then i've only...

vasectomy reversal vs. ivf

Hi I've not posted on here before, but have read quite a lot of posts. My husband had a vasectomy 8 yrs ago after he'd had 2 children with his 1st wife. Now he's married me and we want a child together so we investigated having a reversal. We've been told not to bother because apart from the expense...
