Hi Sarah it's normal to be nervous and although there is a dos and don'ts thread on here, it may be a bit of a trawl through it. here is what i am doing but this is my 6th attempt so i am being mega paranoid and probably overcareful. you need to do what feels right for you. No baths, no orgasms, no ...

Em it's so hard, isn't it. I think it's always the unfairness of it all that gets me. other people are enjoying themselves having sex and seemingly getting pregnant so easily and we have the exact opposite - abstinence from sex, loads of discomfort and misery and then we don't even get pregnant at t...

Hi everyone just answering a few questions: Carolyn, my hospital said there are 6 grades of embryos with grade one being the best. they grade them a bit like diamonds, they look for clarity, definition etc. if they are a bit murky or blobby round the edges rather than clear, sharply defined circles,...

Hi Vess please don't worry. I only produced 2 eggs this time and although both fertilised, only one divided so i only had one transferred yesterday. Even though this was all a bit of a shock to me and i felt very disappointed, i am now trying to be positive about my one little embie. I am sure that ...

Hi i've been told by a specialist fertility nurse that fake tan is harmless, just avoid sunbeds or getting too hot while sunbathing. i've never heard of nailvarnish being a problem - sounds ridiculous, aren't your nails a "dead" part of your body anyway? i would just go for that red polish! Hi you're not recommended to have baths for 2 reasons - first of all you shouldn't be getting too hot and secondly you don't want hot water, possibly with bubble bath or whatever in it going up inside you. You're recommended to have showers and not to direct a hot shower spray onto your tummy. I had...

Wendy - that wasn't me - i arrived at 7.45a...

Hi everyone had egg retrieval this morning. just before we set off i was violently sick and my stomach was so huge i thought here we go again, i'm going to have a ton of eggs, get OHSS and have to go for a total freeze. then the anasthetic didn't work properly so i could feel the procedure (ouch!) a...

Hi Wendy i had shivering, nausea and diarea last time and this time towards the end of stims. not had the flu like symptoms though so maybe they are nothing to do with your treatment and you just have a cold/flu type virus. if it gets worse and you are really concerned i would call the clinic (assum...
