I've been so afraid to post. I have to admit that we chickened out on the amino and declined it at the last minute. The babies look very healthy on ultrasound level II, and in the end, that plus the Nuchal Translucency test were enough for us. None of the doctors seem to be alarmed by our decision ...

Michelle,

I was so happy to read your post. It's great that you can get started soon. It must be hard to have waited all this time. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. Best of luck to you.

Sophie Jane,

I just saw this thread - didn't realize it was twins! I'm so happy for you! I just can't believe it. What a wonderful thing to see the two heartbeats. All this IVF is so hard, it just seems right when one of us gets to have two embies stick.

Paige and Tanya,

This measuring topic is very funny! I am almost 60" tall and circumference is 36 1/2". But I've gained almost 30 lbs! You're probably wondering where it has gone. My husband believes it has gone to my butt as a counterweight. Charming.

Tanya,

I had to laugh about the iron supplements. I'm taking them too, and the doctor said Ferro Sequels is a brand that is buffered to help with this. I also eat lots of fresh fruit and steamed veggies for roughage. Also bran and lots of water. I try to avoid refined white flour, except for pizza ...

Hello everyone,

Sorry I've been away. It seems I stopped getting updates via email, so thought nobody was posting. We're scheduled for an amnio (again) on Tuesday. Hopefully this time we will be able to get it.

Paige,

I know what you mean about walking like an old lady. I am really big already ...

Cate,

Thanks - I think it will be 3 weeks for us for results. I don't know why so long - one would think they could get them out a little faster than that. So it is. I am convinced all is well, but DH is a little more worry prone, so hopefully the results will help him relax a bit.

Have a great ...

Cate,

So glad your amnio has come out well. It must be such a relief. I still have a week before we can get ours done. DH is really nervous, so hopefully it will put him at ease.

How can you stand not knowing if it is a girl or a boy? I would go crazy. I'm glad we know ours are boys, since I ...

Jjj,

Yes, I hope you get a result like mine, too! Maybe even a boy and a girl. We're having 2 boys. Hope your number comes up quickly so you can get started. All the luck and babydust are coming your way from California.

Jjj,

Strangely, I didn't have any pain from my blocked tubes, even though both were blocked completely and holding fluid. But I can tell you that the operation went surprisingly smoothly. I only had minor pain and only for a day or so.

The worst part was the diet they put you on to clear the ...

Cate,

I'm glad to hear that the postponement helped. I'll be trying again on Dec. 15. It's so unfair that you get your results back so early! My clinic said it will be 2 1/2 - 3 weeks before we get ours. I suppose that's better than waiting until delivery...

Hope you get lots of rest and enjoy the ...

Thank you all for your well wishes. Ironically we went in today and they said the twins were in a position that made it not the best day to do it. So they're having us come back in two weeks to see if it will be any better. Strange.

Well after all that we've been through, we've cerainly learned how ...

Elizabeth,

It's true. I had bleeding up until 7 weeks, including bright red and a lot of it on a couple of terrifying days. I am at 17 weeks now with twin boys. Yes, it is very scary. But it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. They said one of them might be having a little ...

Bron,

I usually read but don't post, but here's my story. I bled off and on up until 7 weeks pregnant with my twins. I'm now at 16 weeks. That was the only sign of prenancy I had. No nausea, tiredness or anything. Just bleeding.

Good luck to you and I hope this helps. Always test on your test day ...

Jjj,

Having failed cycles is the worst. Expecially when you pay for it yourself. I remember after our miscarriage, just when I was starting to feel human again, the bill pouring in.

I did have both tube removed. They said it might give a better chance of IVF working. After 2 years TTC, I knew the ...
