Re: Green Tea

Yeah, green tea is a sip of health in every way. Not only it helps in metabolism and weight management but also has a detox effect and help improve immunity. Plus, with the 30-35mh of caffeine, it's ideal to reap all the caffeine benefits - brain stimulant, toning digestion and very basic way of und...

Re: TTC and ovulating problems needing advice

But no one can guarantee you a 100% pregnancy. I tried IVF a couple of times, but unsuccessfully. That’s why we had to find the surrogate to help us. I’m sure you will be luckier, dear. Good luck. You previously claimed 99% success, which was heavily exaggerated. Two IVF failures is a weak justific...

Re: Second IVF attempts are a success

Hi all, I failed first IVF cycle with donor egg, but have heard that second IVF cycle is successful. TBH with you, nothing really guarantee a success in IVF no matter how promising it might seem. However, it is clinically believed that each process increases the chance of your success as the medica...

Re: Is there any limit to how many times you can attempt

Hi there. I am 36 years old. I have been seeking treatment for infertility. I am currently going for IVF. I got the results for the first attempt yesterday. It was a negative. We had pretty much expected this. So, we aren't that worried. We have applied for the second attempt. I hope we will be luc...

Re: English couple finds success abroad

Thanks Ghost for sharing this success story. I'm sure a lot of people will find new hope in this new year once they come across this news. Just like I mentioned in another post somewhere that reproductive tourism is getting too prominent to quick... that can't really happen without a pressing reason...

Re: IVF cost & how is everyone affording this

Hello, After 10-years of trying, we went through IVF and it cost around $25K. The cycle failed and our options are another cycle or donor eggs. After viewing IVF success rates carefully at various clinics, I believe that people must plan for at least 2 or 3 cycles before they are going to have a hi...

Re: can't have a child

Hi there, success rates are definitely better with frozen embryo - that's what the forum posts suggest usually. Clinics in both US, UK and other parts of EU are adopting it rapidly over fresh transfers. Another important mention is that the age of the embryo matters a bit - so freezing seems quite a...

Re: feeling discouraged

Hi there, it's so obvious to feel scared and discouraged after the ordeal you had - I can totally relate! :( However, if it's just a few drops so far you need not worry for now. Dr says it all normal to have a spotting during the pregnancy and even in the advanced stage - as long as it stays as a fe...

Re: Which ones better?

Not sure if you can skip it all to head straight to surrogacy. Usually, the National health programmes will go step by step only i.e. IUI then IVF if that fails and they will refer you to surrogacy. Even if you go private clinic they ask for medical records that prove your infertility and suggest th...

Re: Trying to conceive

I don't wanna sound mean or discouraging you - but no fertility assistance process comes with a guarantee as such. It has more or less equal chances of success and failures. Certain factor does add to improve the chances though, like more the number of embryos, heavy load transfer or multiple tries ...

Re: Not able to conceive

Hi there. I would ask the obvious question. Why go abroad? Why not look for some way to fund surrogacy in USA? I'm sure there would be options for that. Some insurance policy etc, maybe. I personally, feel that the risk factor increases when you go abroad. Especial because of legal issues. Reproduc...

Re: donor eggs, how to find donor?

Hi there, hope you've already got some sensible and worthwhile suggestion on how to find a donor. In my opinion, it's best to go to a clinic that has their own pool of donors if you don't have someone in the family who can give you eggs. The in the family thing serves best if genetic linking is your...

Re: should we just try on our own?

If you ask me I'd say give TTC a try. However, I insist that you do not wait long to arrange for IVF - you can keep TTC in the meantime. IVF is a comparatively lengthy process (FYI if it's your first time) and by the time you get your Dr to refer you to a good clinic and get done with the initiation...

Re: what would you choose?

I was on Femara ever since my first IUI failed. Both the medicines improve ovary function thereby correcting any ovulation related shortcomings. In spite of a different composition, the mechanism of action is also same for both as well - block estrogen receptors in the brain to increase the producti...

Re: Help me please

I have never heard of anything like that. I have infertility and went through all possible fertility assistance to get my baby - but can't remember hearing that gas can affect fertility or pregnancy. In fact in a number of cases due to the hormones and stuff mothers carrying a baby often get heartbu...
