10 days post embryo transfer (3 of them 3 days post retrieval) I had an hcg level of 265. Two days later it was 621. I was pregnant with triplets, but one didn't make it past the first trimester, so now we have twins!

with the twins i have gained 18 pounds. that is within the range that they wanted me to gain. i feel HUGE, but am trying to understand that i have two babies inside that need nourishment.
well....i always thought that i'd be happy with whatever came our way (or i wouldn't be on the IVF board!), but when they thought it was two boys, i felt like i was going to be getting off a little easy! two of the same sex (and the easier gender to manage if you ask me!) seemed to be a blessing ...
I had another scan yesterday. the nuchal translucency looks great (and normal) and the babies are measuring about a week ahead of where i am on the calendar. they are fat and happy! and.....the doc thinks they are both boys.
How about taking some of my symptoms? I think that since this will be our only babies (twins) that I'm being blessed with experiencing EVERYTHING! I'd gladly give a few up to a willing participant, but not the boobs! I have them now and I LOVE them!!!
My first pregnancy had a low HcG number. They did 4 different blood draws and I never doubled. I think I started at 81. I did not have an ectopic pregnancy, though, but I did have a miscarriage. They called it a "chemical pregnancy". You'll find messages on this board about that topic.
Headaches are the one thing that I haven't had in the long list of 1st trimester woes!
