Hi

I was also asked to continue, upto 10 weeks of pregnancy. Historically, I have not had issues with progesterone levels though, but as a routine [regardless of the case], they ask you continue progesterone in my clinic. The best thing is to check your progesterone levels. That is the best indication....

Hi

Hi, same things happened to me. I started spotting & panicked. Went for my u/s at 6.2 weeks. They saw a yolk sac but no heartbeat. Next week, we did u/s again [at 7 weeks] & heartbeat was there. Good Luck to you!

Hi

Really sorry to hear about your m/c. Some of my friends miscarried at that early stage & as far as I know, it passed naturally. I don't think you would see anything remotely human [how cruel is this!!]. I know it can be nerve-wrecking. Hang in there!!

Hi

Hi, we were told vitamins may/may not help. My dh was never big on them & did not take them routinely. As for combining 2 specimens of sperms, we did that with all our IVF attempts. We were told one time was not enough & were asked to produce another specimen & both were combined. In one of the IVF ...

Hi

Hi Riogirl, I feel so terrible for your friend. After having gone thru 2 m/c, having to make such a tough decision of aborting a pregnancy at a later stage due to DS, is really really sad!! And she is 44 also, hope she still decides to continue her quest for a baby & is blessed with a healthy, beaut...

Hi

Becky, it is indeed a wonderful story!! I can only say that what you are saying makes a lot of sense, however, it's practical and manageable for some, yet really really difficult for the others to handle. Every child is special & needs to be loved & cared for, no-one can deny that. But as parents, w...

Hi

Will do, Riogirl. However, I am still perplexed/concerned by this: if there are so many false positives, then how come the experts say that NT tests are 80% accurate? Based on everyone's replies so far, it does seem like there are mostly false positives. Secondly, this whole mechanism of testing is ...

Wow BabyB.... I am feeling better & better!! Thanks a ton!!! Great advice on amnio route as well, and makes all kinds of sense to follow. Will certainly try to keep myself calm, esp after reading all these positive stories.

Congrats

First of all congrats to you on your pregnancy!! It is indeed very exciting!! My betas were checked 3-4 times in all. Couple of times at my gynae's office, I cheated & got an earlier blood test done. And then 2 times at the fertility center. By betas were certainly high [see below]. You should get a...

Hi

Hi Traci, Crasmus, were you ever told of a high risk of Down syndrome? Looks like our worries do not end. I have posted a thread on that just now. I am thinking may be high HCGs are tied to getting a false +ve on Down syndrome. Any advise would be great! Thanks again!!!
