My clinic advises its patients to stop exercising after ET, and to refrain from exercising until a heartbeat can be seen on the monitor (which confirms that the babies...

Re: Help....I don't know what to do?

Hi! There could be several reasons why your period doesn't start (around here, we call it AF, Auntie Flow!!). There seems to be a general tendency that, when you want AF to come (because of a treatment), she doesn't. Many people around here report the very same thing. I'm also quite regular, I've do...

Re: How long of a recovery after tubal surgery?

Hey, look at that, fellow hydrosalpinxers! :D:D:D:D Same here, both my tubes were filled with fluid because of an infection. I had three surgeries between 2006 and 2008. Two laparotomies, and one laparoscopy. The first laparotomy was exploratory; they only removed part of my left tube and left the r...

Re: Awaiting Treatment

Franca, POAS are tricky, that's for sure. You could get a negative, and do a blood test at the clinic the same day and get a BFP. Personally, I only trust the blood test, but a negative POAS can definitely ruin your PMA, sometimes for nothing because in fact you're pregnant. As for the symptoms, you...

Re: May cycle buddies :)

I am not exactly sure how I will do the one in my bottom, hopefully they will let me do it in the thigh. Oh dear, I'm sure you'll find hundreds of IVFers here who went through the dreaded butt injections and can give you tons of tips. If it's progesterone in oil injections (called PIO here), I've n...

Re: May cycle buddies :)

A friend was telling me about eating Pineapple after transfer to increase odds of implantation. Anyone else heard of this? I suppose it couldn't hurt anything. Hi there! :) I read the study and you,d have to eat LOTS of fresh pineapple to make a significant difference. But hey, it's healthy, it's t...

Re: Enough can't be said about Bedrest But?

Hi there! Yes, the waiting game is tough, especially the first tmt! :D The studies I have read concluded that bedrest doesn,t make any difference. Some observed that it can do more harm than good, because of the risk of developing clots (you know that, since you work in a hospital) and because the b...
