TTC and ovulating problems needing advice

Postby isacas12 » Fri Jul 07, 2017 6:31 am

Hi friends, I am not used to write on forums but I thought it was a good idea giving it a try and share my worries. I have been TTC for 8 months now but without luck, recently I found from a blood test that I am not ovulating but I am having my periods like usually so I don’t know what’s happening, is this normal? Has anyone suffer from anything similar or knows something? I think I need to go to an specialist but I would like to ask for some advice here.

Hi! I saw your post and wanted to tell you that what you are dealing isn´t normal at all so the best thing you should do is go to a specialist and tell him all your worries. And maybe you could start looking for more options about conceiving; surely the specialist you will visit will recommend you something if you ask him, so investigating is also a good idea. I hope the best for you!!

Anovulation even when you're menstruating is rare but possible. It's called an anovulatory cycle. However, it happens consecutively then there's definitely some underlying problems which you better get diagnosed ASAP. It's usually the low levels of progesterone that cause anovulatory cycle - you bleed yet the egg is missing. Can be caused by a sudden drop in estrogen as well. If you're obese or have been on intense exercise module it becomes more common to have hormonal imbalances. Don't stress up it will worsen the case. It's not a major problem and can be set right with medications for a certain period of time

Hello, Isa! You are right that you need to go to a specialist to seek medical attention. However, if you will be diagnosed with infertility issues, there is now IVF that will give you the baby of your dreams.

Unfortunately, we can’t answer your question. You should definitely talk to the specialist. There are a lot of reasons for not being ovulating. May be you have some kind of hormonal imbalance. Who knows. You will have to go through lots of tests and examinations. After that your doctor will figure out the most appropriate solution for you. As usual they start with some medical treatment. If it doesn’t help, you will be advised to try the IVF. As far as I know it works in most cases. But no one can guarantee you a 100% pregnancy. I tried IVF a couple of times, but unsuccessfully. That’s why we had to find the surrogate to help us. I’m sure you will be luckier, dear. Good luck.

You previously claimed 99% success, which was heavily exaggerated.

Two IVF failures is a weak justification for surrogacy. If you ever birthed a child, as you seem to have said before, then it seems unlikely you needed a surrogate.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

If you read all of my posts, you had to notice that my first baby boy was adopted. I've never had a chance to conceive naturally. After 2 IVF failures we didn't want to adopt again. But we wanted to have more kids. Can you suggest me any other option to get a baby? I don't think so.
Every woman should have options to become a mother. If you are against surrogacy, so don't use it. Some couples have no other options. And no one is allowed to criticize them. Even if a woman gave birth naturally once, she could have some serious consequences after the delivery. These consequences could easily cause the infertility. Why can't she go for surrogacy to have more kids?
Looks like you don’t know what does it mean being infertile. Hope you will never know.

I apologize if you are one of the very few and rare posters here that are not actually paid advertisers for surrogacy in Ukraine.

What is your diagnosis? Two failed cycles is very common even in fertile patients in Europe, even in surrogates, and does not by itself suggest surrogacy is the answer.

Surrogacy should be recommended only to those that absolutely need it. It is very expensive and legally risky. Surrogates have kept babies for example and, in at least one case, sued the intended parents and won monthy child support payments.

It’s ok… I completely understand you. There are a lot of fake posters nowadays. Anyway, before signing an agreement with the clinic, a couple should visit it to make sure that it’s fine. In my case, I had to find a good reliable doctor. It was very important for me.

Regarding the diagnosis… It’s hard to answer your question. I visited 4 fertility specialists. They kept saying that I was fine. But we were ttc year after year and we had no kids. Our friends and family were so annoying. They kept asking questions about my pregnancy…and I had no answers. I was completely stressed out. I couldn’t see pregnant women at all.

I was working a lot when I was young. I guess, stress could hurt my reproduction system. My doctor told me that so called “unexplained infertility” is getting really popular nowadays. Well…I don’t know. To say truth, we are still ttc but unsuccessfully.

I agree that surrogacy can be risky. But every couple should have a good lawyer to do everything in the right way. If a couple signed an agreement, the surrogate won’t be able to keep the baby. The baby will be given to its biological parents right after the delivery.

Prices are really high. Regarding me, I was ready to pay any amount of money to get a baby. To say truth, my husband had to work a lot at that moment. But I appreciate him for his support. He is a great father, you know))

Anyway, medicine gave me a chance to become a mother and I’m very glad. I don’t regret I did it.

Hello dear! I am sorry about your condition. However its a little baffling at the same time. Why didn't you get a second expert opinion? I understand that when you have irregular periods then it is hard to determine the ovulation time period. In your case , the periods are regular but you are not ovulating. However, I recently did some research in this regard and found out there can be different causes of not being able to ovulate once in a month. But for this you need to get a full medical checkup done. The secondary causes of not being able to ovulate can be severe stress, weight gain or weight loss etc. There are different medicines provided to regulate menstrual cycle. The medication depends on the type of treatment you require. I had irregular periods. My doctor prescribed Regulon, which worked like magic for me. I strongly suggest you get a second opinion. And change your clinic you if think you are not getting the right treatment. There are several other medical teams providing effective treatments. The best ones are in Europe. I hope things work out for you. Much Love !!

Why do you say that?

The highest success rates are in the United States.

Ghost is after shills... don't mind her words. As she said she must have thought you one of them :D shills have made her doubt everyone and call random people shills no one escapes that, lol. No offence Ghost, it's just a friendly nudge - don't mind please. :D

So sorry to hear about your ordeal JennyK! :( Yes, you're right that there's no guarantee that IVF 3 will be successful but it's the same with surrogacy as well. I'm not against it in any way just want to emphasise that anything is possible - which should sound hopeful yet prepared to deal with the odds if anything otherwise chances. It somehow depends on what are the infertility issues with you decide whether 2 failed IVF attempts is enough to move onto surrogacy - and honestly, no one can decide that for you-you're the best judge (when you had enough you need move onto the next step). I haven't had any uterine issue except for my lining was a little over 8 which made my Dr be very upset about it - as per him when most uterine issues can't be fixed there's very little hope with IVF and surrogacy is the ultimate option. However, I want to mention a couple of things if you're looking for surrogates (just online digging though) make sure your surrogacy has some kind of coverage by the clinic over failures due to irresponsible attitude on the surrogate's part. I came across posts in various forums complaining about the loss of pregnancy due to surrogate where they ended up spending a huge sum of money to redo all of it. Be careful while choosing both the clinic and the surrogate, wish you luck! :)

No offense taken. It's not my nature to be that obnoxious, but I feel some need to protect the honest visitor from false advertising. I apologize to the genuine posters here.

That's indeed benevolent, dear one! I guess we all come here either to get some relief over the struggle, clear our doubts, get hope and sometimes to give hope. Some of your replies really added valuable input even to my TTC and pregnancy-related knowledgebase .. :D I'm sure it will prove helpful if and when I TTC for my second one. You take time to make sure that there are no spammers is truly an extra dedication. :) Let me thank you on behalf of everyone :)
