Horrible feeling it is all over for me this time

Post by Michelle » Wed Jun 25, 2003 8:05 am

Dear Girls
Yesterday afternoon when I went to the toilet there was a little bit of blood, of course once I realised that I kept going back every 10 minutes or so and there was a little more. Hard to tell exactly the colour of the blood as I really had to wipe myself hard to find it (sorry to be so graphic), but that is normally the way AF starts for me. Overnight there has been no more bleeding, but I've got tummy cramps - which I think are period pains (or could be nervous pains as I feel so distressed right now). I'm on day 13 of the 2ww and due to test on Friday. I know some girls say that they have bleeding and still get a positive but I now really feel that this is not my time. I can't really believe it as I felt so positive this time round, especially as last time worked, although I had a miscarriage.
I'll keep you posted.
Love and luck to you all.
Michelle x

Dearest Michelle... I have been thinking about you all week...to be honest since I knew we were cycling together I have been thinking of you every day... If you only had a little bleed..pls carry on feeling positive specially as overnight there has been no more bleeding.... please.. I know that one knows their own body but let's keep PMA. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. With all my heart I do hope that it is just a little scare.. I have not stopped reading the postings (trying very hard for IVF not to take over my life but failing miserably) and I found one from a girl that bled a little and still had a positive result.. I don't want to give you false hope... just trying to keep you positive till the end.
A big big hug for you.... With all my love
Ursula
xxx

Hi Shell

I feel that I have had to reply to your post, I am not posting this note to build your hopes up but I want to share with you my experiences.

I was due to test on day 14 and on day 13 I started bleeding and I thought it was all over for me too because I had period pain so I tested a day early. Well I got a negative result and I was gutted words can't explain how I feel. I cried from the time I done the test till the time I went to bed. I had been in touch with the clinic and explained to them and they was not impressed with me because I shouldn't of tested.

Well on day 14 I tested again and I got a positive result Michelle I couldn't believe it.

I am now 10wks pregnant and had a scan and saw the baby moving around, and I still get spotting now. I still get period pain and aches and pains, so please try not to worry, I know its easier said then done because I was exactly like you.

If you want to mail me please feel free to my mail address is
warkie@hotmail.com

Love
Shell.
xx

Dear Ursula and Shell

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I'm still bleeding slightly - but I can only see it when I wipe myself, nothing has hit the pad in my knickers.

Usula, I know what you mean about taking a break for the whole world of IVF - when I was between treatments I tried my best (which wasn't very hard!) to not visit this site all the time - but it is completely addictive. At work they have just started monitoring Internet usage (like bloody big brother!) so I'm not logging on whilst there - which I think may be a good thing as I am obsessed. I've also been thinking of you lots - I so wanted us to go over the 'PG board' together...next time. How are you feeling? I really hope you have got over the shock and already planning your next attempt.

Shell, what happened to you is absolutely amazing - you are so lucky...I pray that will happen to me. I'm trying to stay positive but you know it is just so horribly hard. Thankfully I work at home each Wednesday so don't have to face anyone in the office - and I can tell you girls that I haven't done a bloody thing all day! Work can wait! When you started bleeding on day 13 was it heavy? Was it brown or red....mine is kind if brownish, but I think it is usually like that before af arrives. Also, I had e/t on a Friday and I test on a Friday - so that is actually 15 days if you count e/t as Day 1 - were you the same? I really don't want to be clutching at straws but can't help myself. I'm going to keep thinking about your amazing story and pray it will happen to me.

Love to you both.

Michelle x

Hi Michelle

When I started spotting it was on day 13 and I was due to test on day 14 which the clinic said that day 14 would be the day I should of got AF.

Well on day 13 it was brown and it was like little bits of brown, then when I wiped myself it was there, but not on my pad.

I have since had a few times when I have had fresh blood but no pain and the clinic are saying that some women do get it and its become quite common.

You do have to stay strong, and as I say I have been spotting on and off since I was positive and now I am 10wks pregnant.

Love

Shell.
xx
