Hi all, you guys are very helpful.
Jenbabes - Good news about lining

rhall00, thanks for support and offer to lend me a hand., I'll be in touch.

Rebecca, thanks also fo the offer of support.

Lucy12, you are right, this thread is the best place for DE support. I feel it already.

Hi Carolyn, thanks for the welcome.

Jen 1D, once again, I'm thinking of you.

Thanks to all of you for your information and support. I've been crying a lot, having you guys here has been a blessing. I feel lucky to have found you. This is not an easy road to travel. We met with Dr. yesterday and he thinks we should keep trying with own eggs for a bit more. We have to take the month off and can resume treatment after that. In the mean-time, I plan to stay connected to this thread. I want to be prepared if the time for DE does come along. JenBabes, you are right about the other thread (Over 40) Lots of info for DE in US. Till next time, girls. -chriss

Dear Chriss – hope you are feeling a little better after having got some more information. Glad that you can go ahead again soon with treatment but do take all the time you need. Take good care of yourself. Hugs xxx

Hi Jen – great news about your scan yesterday. Sounds like you’re taking time to really chill out whilst the meds are doing their work. Hope you get that call from IM soon.

Jen & Anna - Thanks for encouraging me to see my doc about AF. Turned out that it was definitely the right thing to do. He did a scan, checked my hormones and agreed that I would have been waiting a long time for AF to arrive. He didn’t hesitate to prescribe some meds to regulate my cycle and I’m now sooo relieved to know that I’m back on track. Now expecting AF beginning Nov. Feeling so lucky once again to have such a supportive doc here.

Good luck, Kelly as you start on your 2ww!

Jen1 – am thinking about you and DH a lot and hope you are OK. Big hugs xxx

How is everyone else doing? Love to you all…

Hi girls

Just a quick update and will do personals when i get a big stronger. Am thinking of you all and thank you for your good wishes for us, its so lovely of you all.

Am still struggling and get quite tearful. Went out today for the first time to tescos, couldnt cope with the new babies so went home. Cant even manage to talk to anyone on the phone but today my good friend called and we had a chat, i managed to keep it together---just. Then J (my ex keychild) who is like a son to us, rang me to see how i was and that was it, i got tearful but he did the talking so dont know if he suspected anything. Poor thing sent me a tx after, saying he has missed me and not to worry as i have him. We are fortunate to have found each other but ----and i feel terrible saying this but we want a child of our own. I love him like my own but i want to be pregnant.

Anyway my consultant from home and my Dr from IM rang and looks like i will have a hysteroscopy either 9th Nov or Dec, this will be confirmed Thur or Fri then ET can go ahead after this. At the moment i just feel its a waste of time but we have to be grateful we have 2 embies, so have to try.

DH is being a rock and we are having lots of chats and cuddles, would be lost without him. He keeps reasuring me that he would rather have me than a baby but keeps saying we will try as long as we are both strong enough as we want a baby together.

Anyway thats about it. Back at work tomorrow and dreading it. Keep getting headaches and not sleeping well, probably stress. Dr wanted to sign me off work but whats the point, i would love to hide away at home but it will make me worse and i could easily become depressed. Maybe after a few days at work i will be ok, if not i will take the line from the Dr.

Ok going to watch bringing up baby and sob the night away or get mad at them moaning------dont know how lucky they are.

Lots of love

Hi

Just home and you wont be surprised to know i had another shit day.

Had pains in my tum last night, which i never get. Anyway got up this morning af is here
Then on my way to training i got a call from the consultants secretary to say my op would be on Dec 9th---burst into tears when i put the phone down as i wanted it in Nov as they said yesterday. Now i wont be able to have ET until Jan. I might get a cancellation but with our luck at the moment, i'm not holding my breath.

Then got to my CALM training (restraints), only to be told we cant go home at 1, all staff have to complete the 8hr shift so i had to go to work after it. Nearly died as i feel so crap and cant face it, plus i didnt sleep well again.

Anyway, pottered off to work, furious they have changed the rules and never told us. When i got there a member of staff said i looked as if i was going to cry---told her not to ask or i will---then everyone started to feel sorry for me but thankfully all that fuss was distracted in 10 mins as my 'prossie *****' yp was having another kick off and threw a book at me---well i jumped out of the chair and she never flew so fast down the corridor (my training refresher came in handy), her feet didnt touch the ground. Just the mood i'm in---know its to early to go back to work with these yp, different if i worked in an office or something but i cant sit depressed at home. Dont know whats wrong with me this time---i feel so miserable. Thankfully my boss let me go early although she has never asked me yet if i'm ok.

So now at home and just had a few tears, going to put my pj's on and chill.

I am thinking of you all and feel a bit selfish for talking about me just now but i am so drained and tired. Sorry, i will chat more soon.

Love Jen x

Hi Ladies

I have been MIA as really busy with work and the meds have been really shattering for me. So have been coming home and falling into bed.

So time to do a catch up on personals.........

Jen1d - I am sorry that work was hard on you. I think that you are right to go back and try to get back into the swing of things. It would not be nice whenever you went back. Small steps. One foot in front of the other. I am sorry that you wanted the hysteroscopy sooner but it is good to give yourself a break physically and emotionally. Plus would be tricky having tmt in December as sure that the clinic will be closed around Xmas time. Big hugs babe. Keep going. You are trying to be brave and strong I know

Chriss - glad that your appointment helped you come to a decision. Let's hope that it works next time for you with your own eggs and you don't need the support from this thread

Lucy - we will need to go out there for EC as my dh will have to have an operation to take the sperm directly from him. He'll then need time to recover. We will of course then stay for ET. But sounds like he will need a week off work. Cannot see him wanting to come back and face awkward questions at work so we may stay out there and it will help while away some of the dreaded 2ww and stop me going back to work too soon. So, yes, I guess in total we could well be out there for about a week. Saw your question about the barmitzvah. It is a ceremony that Jewsih boys go through at age 13. It is a ceremony at the synagogue on Saturday morning and then a party on Sunday evening. I am not Jewish but my husband is and it is for his business partners youngest son. Glad that you got the ticker sorted babe. Hope that appointment is confirmed soon and you can get everything organised

Gill - glad that you have been busy and looking after yourself. Thinking of you and your next steps

Rebecca - simply cannot believe that you are already getting towards the end of your 1st term. The picture/story of the twins swimming around was so cute. So pleased for you babe

Kelly - sorry that I missed your ET and so was not here to cheer you on. So pleased that it all went well for you. So pleased that they are snuggling in. Look after yourself hun

Sonia - pleased that you have such a supportive dr. That is a big help. Sounds like she has got you back on track

Rhall - I have been to New England in the Autumn when I lived out there and it is absolutely awesome. Love the colours

JB - your lining is fab hun. So hope that you hear from IM soon and that you are over there before you know it. Sorry that your body is not liking the meds. Hang in there babe. PUPO very soon

Vicki - Don't think that you have updated since you went to see Mr Trew. What did he have to say? How are you doing with the trial cycle?

Hugs to everyone else - BigJ, Anna and crew.

Well IM wrote to us last Thursday and cast doubt on whether the issue was actually dh's sperm (which is pretty bad) and whether that had caused the past failures. They offered us a try with my eggs and genetic testing which threw us into a bit of turmoil. After much debate, we have decided to push on down the path that we have started. I am cross that this was not identified sooner but seems from my reading that not many clinics in the UK run this sperm fragmentation testing. Anyhow it is history now although has not made me happy with all the time/money/effort over the past 2 years - let alone the effect of 2 years aging on my own eggs. So we have now told them that my dh will have the TESA and we will carry on with the donor eggs. I cannot go back having got my head around the whole idea of donor eggs. Wish time was on our side but it is not for me or my dh so we need to move ahead

I am finding that the combination of bcps and antibiotics is completely writing me off. I am exhausted all the time & it is certainly aggrevating my autoimmune disorder too. Anyway just have to get on with it. Have mailed IM today as I have some break through bleeding and to see whether they suggest that I need to go up to 2 bcps per day.

Anyway, 6 days of bcps left, 8 days of antibiotics left. Hope that I am about a week away from the patches.

Much love and hugs to you all.
Carolyn

Hi!
Carolyn, my DH was just told about his dna fragmentation too. It sounds like I was told a little earlier than you were in the whole process. We were ready to get donor eggs and then got the results of that test which then led us to believe that the issue may be his sperm and not my eggs - of course there is no guarantee either way. It is as a result of this that we are using donor sperm - no one spoke to us about the possibility of doing TESA for non-fragmented sperm. What is frustrating is that you have to rely upon your own research because often large pieces of the puzzle are left out. My DH was really angry that it took 6 tries before they did the sperm frag test and only after we requested it. I guess we'll see whether that was our issue in 2 weeks when we get our beta test.

JenB - have you heard from IM? I am so excited for you to get your dates.

Gill - enjoy your break from the insanity of this process. When you decide to try again you'll be good and ready!

Jen1 - big hugs hun! I am thinking of you.

Sonia - happy to hear that you went to the doc and that you are back on track.

chris - hugs to you too! a bfn sure is hard! sounds like you have your next steps lined up which is great.

Hi to everyone else!

Only on day 4 of my 2ww and so far so good! The first week is usually a breeze. Work is getting busier which is great - keeps my mind occupied so that the days pass more quickly!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi all

well i got the call today with both Good news and bad news...

BAD news is that our donor has withdrawn...and back up donor is way way behind

Good news is i can use another PROVEN donor with differant blood group but same eye colour and hair colour who is just out of EC
so the choice is
1 start tmt all agin and wait for blood related donor
or 2 go with proven donor and have to tell medics that chiild has differant blood group
asked if the blood cgroup thing would effect me carrying child ( ie reseus neg factor) but this wont be a problem.

so after about a 5 minute debate with our consultnt on the other end of the phone we decided to just go with the flow and use the proven and ready donor xxxxxxxxxxxx Think that sometimes things just happen a certain way for a certain reson and just trust and Faith that it is meant to be . So at this moment we are sortingout flights hotels and dog kennels...difficult as all are fully booked because of school holidays ...

eventually sorted flight tomorrow from edinburgh to Barcelona and fly back monday night. so need to leave here for a 3 hour drive before staying at friends tonight x x
Hotel is becoming a problem as prices are sky high :?

anyway we will keep trying...will be off the boards until tuesday but will post when on my 2ww :D :D when i get back

will txt the Im girls about my development ...

much love to all...kelly on 2ww, and epecially those who have recently had a negative...know it must be hard seein someone at ET (((999hugs)))

sorry no time for personals lovin stuff to ya all

Hi girls

Just want to thanks you all for your kindness, have been struggling so much this time and i'm still raw and emotional but i'm a tough cookie so will get through this crap and go get my last 2 frosties.

Just got a tx from Jen, she is fine. So hope us IM girls start to get some bfp's now.

Carolyn - Enjoy your barmitzvah, get those knees up and dance the night away. Hope th espotting has stopped.

Gill - How you doing? Nervous for Tue, thinking of you.

Lucy - Bet you feel like your appointment is years away eh?

Anna - How you doing, you must be getting so excited about Christmas with little Mathew?

Sonia - Hope your feeling better?

Chris - How you feeling, probably the same as me, silly question. Hope your finding the strength to do another cycle.

Kelly - hope your managing the 2ww ok, so hope you get lovely good news.

Rhall - How you doing, New England sounds lovely.

Vicki - Hows the trial cycle going, hope you ok?

Hi to anyone i have missed, sorry.

Rebecca - Glad your feeling ok, hope we can all follow you soon.

Unfortunately dh is working this morning then i start at 3 on a dreaded sleepover, so dont finish until 3.30pm tomorrow afternoon. I am not looking forward to it as its so stressful just now--the kids are being brats, plus we have 4 new staff and the consitency in the unit has fallen. We have a team building day on Wed and some ass kicking will have to take place. Wish i could just chill in my pj's with X-Factor blaring.

Shift last night wasn't to bad as i was on with two staff who have been there quite a few years so we were able to chill. Sorted out the Xmas rota but sure someone will moan. Then got a call from John, (ex keychild--like a son) he was out with his mates and although not drunk, was tipsy. Anyway he made my night and brought a smile (difficult at the moment), he kept saying he loved me so much and is glad he found me. I kept laughing as he as he only get so emotional when he has had a pint. Anyway it made me realise we are both so lucky to find each other and although i want my own child, i have one alrady and know i can adopt and love another child like my own, but it has to be young so we can bond well and not an older child.

Anyway will stop muttering on, enjoy your weekend,

Love Jen x
