Thank you, Lord, for the many blessings you have given us. Thank you for each and every person on this list. Please bless us and help us to know your will for our lives and Lord, to seek your will in all we do. Thank you God, for the blessing we have been to each other in this short time together. Please bless our friendships as we honor You! And help us, Father, to encourage and support one another through joy and laughter as well as through sorrow and tears. Teach us Lord, to love one another and others as You love us.

Draw us nearer to You, Lord, as we go through this process. Lord, whatever the path you have chosen for us, show us the way You want us to go. Grant us peace and comfort in your loving arms, Father Abba. Help us to know how our struggles and our suffering are important to you and how you long for us to grow through them and lean on You. Help us to know how to pray and for what to pray. Convict us in the areas of our lives that need correction and guide us back to the paths of fulfillment, sanctification, and righteousness.

In the Name of Your Precious Son, Jesus, Amen.

Wow, where do I start....I missed a couple of days and SO much has happened.

First things first....THANKYOU LORD for Mia's 9 little eggs!!!!!!!!!! Woo-hoo, thats so great, just what you wanted, Mia!. God is GOOD!

Image

I'm so happy for you, please keep us updated with the fertilization of those little ones. I'm praying for good fertilization.

Kildean, welcome! Always wonderful to have another sister to share our journey with. Thankyou for sharing scripture, its good to have the reminder and some inspiration. Best of luck with you ER tomorrow! How very exciting. I'll pray for you.

Weezie, did you have your ER hun? Did I blink and miss it??? how are you?

chriss.....welcome to you too!!!!! I know how you feel trying to catch up by reading through pages. It can be really overwhelming, I tried it once on another thread and didn't so so good with remembering everyones story. We're really blessed to have Hope here. She's really on the ball and gives us all our prayer list so we know where everyone is in their cycle. Yay for Hope!

Hope......any sign yet? I was in the health food store 2 days ago and decided to look up if there were any herbs used to bring on AF. I found a few....one was motherwort, but in the book I liked the most it suggested that simply drinking ginger tea could work. SO, I bought some ginger tea with a plan to drink it every day and then move on to stronger stuff like motherwort in a week if still no sign. Well.....lo and behold, after 2 cups of ginger tea AF finally arrived (I think). I say "I think" because its still really light and has had a little red blood but mostly old blood, not really in full flow yet. I'm afraid to assume this is it, but the good news is it started yesterday and is still here this morning. So, I'm praying this is it. How about you? When your af arrives you're going straight into your next cycle right? I still have to wait out one full cycle before even starting meds for my FET. I wish I was going into it this cycle because you and I would be cycle buddies! I'm not complaining though, at least now I feel some peace that things are progressing and my nurse can sit with me next week to make my calendar for my meds next month and plan a tenative date for the FET. I am SO happy. Please God let AF arrive for Hope very soon.

I wanted to share something that has been going on to see what any of you might think. Before my husband proposed to me I was attending classes with the county to become a foster Mom. I knew it was going to b hard but when I realized I was going to be out of pocket more than $600 a month just for child care I decided I just couldn't afford it (such a shame). They can only afford to give foster parents about $400/month. Anyway, so I dropped out but have always felt as though foster parenting would be good option for my DH and I. He has always been in favor of this, too. Just lately I have been feeling like God is talking to me and telling me I should go ahead and start the process to become a foster parent now. When I first brought it up to my DH he was not against it but worried about taking this on and doing IVF. I thought about it but every day I feel/here the message more and more that I should be doing this. So, yesterday I started making some enquiries and getting some info. Thats when AF arrived, literally. I felt as though the two were linked and I told God I wouldn't stop there now AF had arrived, but would continue to plan for being a foster parent whilst waiting around for my next cycle etc. I don't quite understand what God's plan for us is, I know only He does, but it just feels right. I'd love more than one more child in the home so maybe his plan is for us to have our own baby and give other babies a home too. Maybe His plan doesn't include us having our own baby. Whatever His plan is I have complete trust in Him and know it is the right way. It actually kinda makes sense to me because I may not feel like going through that process when I'm pregnant or with a newborn. It would be good to be prepared and there's no time like the present, especially with not much else happening in the IVF department.
What do you all think about this???

nicaliw: Well, from an adoptive mother (former foster children) I can tell you that in the beginning it's not like they are yours, more like you're babysitting :) But, as time goes on....you love them like your own! The foster care system usually can't pay you more than 400.00 per child, but sometimes that isn't including the childcare subsidy (they usually will pay for childcare if needed...not much but some daycares accept it as payment in full). The classes take quite a while, and they may keep your mind off of the IVF procedures. We took ours over a long weekend though, because our local county kept cancelling classes due to no one showing up to take them, even though they'd signed up to take them!!! Just follow God's leading. He was so persistent with us, huge billboards would show up on regular driving routes, where there were none before...etc about adoption and foster children. Seriously, when we called the agency to take this route, signs that had been posted on a little road we travel daily just disappeared!!!! I had stopped to take pictures of them one day because I just thought WOW, truly a sign from God for our direction. I'm glad I did because they stayed there for about 2 months (mounted on regular road sign post, almost like they were going to be permanent) and then they were gone.....no signs :( I do believe sometimes that God realizes I need a post it to show me his plans...LOL I also dreamed of my adopted children, so when I saw them I knew they were mine....it was WONDERFUL! I really pray everyday that God will give me the same unmistakeable leading in this journey too.

Mia: I'm so glad to hear you had 9 eggs....I pray that God fertilizes the perfect number for a BFP! Now that my husband has gotten on board with the IVF journey, I'm so worried that I won't get a BFP at all and it'll all be for nothing. I can't think that way though....his plan is perfect no matter what we think should happen. I'm still so glad that you were able to come through ER with 9 eggs....what a GREAT number! Now 2 for Fresh and 2 for FET if needed and you're set!!! When is ET?

Weezie: When is ER again??? Has it passed???? Outcomes??? Do share! LOL

Princess: How is pregnancy treating you? Any update on Beta's?

Kildean: Are you excited.....it's tomorrow right???

Chriss: Way to go....reading all those pages! Today when we were doing Bible study we were reading how we should be OBVIOUS Christians and OBVIOUS children of God. The kids and I discussed this and I believe that being an inspiration and keeping a good attitude through things that can be troubling and stressful is a great way to do that. You don't know who sees you and your struggles and also notices your peace through the journey and finds comfort in that. Keep it up!!!

To everyone else....how are you? Anything on your mind? Any prayer request? Praise reports?

nicaliw: one more note....as to feeling like going through the foster classes when you're pregnant...etc. I have no doubt that God will show you the perfect timing, which may be now! I can say, pretty much without doubt, that if I'd had another bio child prior to being led to adopt....I don't think we would have adopted. I know now that God was leading us to the path to adopt first, then to have another bio child....it's kind of comforting to know that he is always in control. I have never had the feeling of needing/wanting another bio child like I do now. Even when we signed on to adopt....I knew that we were on the right path (we just couldn't decide on foster/adopt/ages/international...etc). Now that we've adopted, this feeling to have another bio child just overcomes me....it's so odd as my last bio child is 12 years old and in that past 12 years I've never had this desire. Again, I have no doubt that it's all about God's timing though :) And, I'm sure he's leading you down a path that will brighten your life....so just keep your eyes on him and keep walking that path!

Nicaliw: So happy AF is finally here for you!!! Sounds like God is really speaking to you about foster parenting! And praise God to have Indie on the boards who can relate so well! That is a "God thing." I love it when i am going through something and then the perfect person pops up who can really be a mentor to me. Praise God.

Indie: Wonderful story! And so happy dh is with you and ya'll are seeking God's direction together.

Hope: Yes I agree with Nic - we are blessed to have you on this thread. I hope you are feeling better today. Not sure if you had an emotionally bad day or physically, but I pray for restoration! (and AF)

Praise God:
9 retrieved
6 mature
5 fertilized (w/ICSI)
Waiting for other 3 eggs to mature.

When I was praying this morning God reminded me that my hope is not in my RE, it is in HIm the creator of my body, the one who knew me before I was created. Praise God that he has allowed us to advance medically to have IVF, but that He is still in ultimate control. Thank you girls for your prayers. I will have ET on Friday or Sunday. I am really not interested in the 3 eggs maturing, I just want 4. I will let you all know the report tomorrow.

Hello All:

I just want to say thank you for all your support and prayers. I am very excited about ER tomorrow. I just came from accupuncture so I am so relaxed. It is wonderful to know that I have support from all over the US. This has been a journey and is certainly know where near to being over. I am going to get some sleep because I have to be at hospital at 6am. I will pray for all of my sisters on this board tonight. Please do the same for me. I will update everyone tomorrow.

KILDEAN: Father please protect Kildean as she goes in for ER tomorrow. We praise You that You know her body better than any of the doctors that will be working with her tomorrow, so we pray that you would guide the doctor's hands as he retrieves Kildean's precious eggs. Father calm her and dh's spirits tonight, and wake them up tomorrow in peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen.

Can't wait to hear how everything goes!! I will be praying for you tomorrow morning.

Good Morning Sisters!!

Congratulations, Nikki! So glad AF finally showed! She's still not here for me. :( I may be trying some mild herbal remedies today as i'm going to see my LAc and have some needles! He mentioned trying some herbs too, but I am so cautious with them right now. My RN said if AF doesn't show by Mon then I will go in for BW and drugs to get it started. Don't know what to tell you about the foster parent issue. Like Mia, I am so grateful that Indie is here to provide more in-depth information, having gone through it already. What a blessing that is!! But you know God has a plan and he will show it to you in time. :)

Indie - Thank you for being here! I learned a lot through reading your story and I don't think the rest of us could assist Nik in the way you have. So glad you and DH are on the same page. That is such a blessing and brings such peace!

Mia - Such a great fertilization report! Please keep us updated! Grow, embies, grow!!! You'll know today if ET will be tomorrow or Sunday, right?? I love what you said about your hope being in the Lord rather than in the doctors' hands... VERY TRUE!!

Kildean - I will echo Mia's prayer for your ET today. Sorry I didn't get on here yesterday. I did say a prayer for you last night and will do so again today. I'm sure it's already done (6 am?! Wow) We can't wait to hear how well things went.

I must go for now... I will check in tonight for Mia's ET date and the eggie report from Kildean! Hugs and prayers!!

nikki ~ Let me share something that someone told me once. We were talking about ttc vs. adoption, etc. I was pretty down at the time. She told me, "Maybe God has a child out there that He wants you to adopt before He'll let you get pregnant." I thought it was a pretty profound statement...I had never considered that before. Long story short, it sure sounds like you are heading down the path that you are meant to be on with the fostering and God has rewarded you. Yea!

Kildean ~ Prayers that everything went well today and that you get good, strong embies!!

Mia ~ Grow, grow, grow!

Hope all is well with everyone. Have a blessed day!

Just got the call girls and God is so great!

Of the 5 fertilized eggs, 4 kept dividing. PLUS they were watching three other eggs that were immature, 2 matured and fertilized, so I have 6 embies.

The best part is I will have a day 5 transfer!!!

Two reasons I prayed for this: 1. I would like 4 embies by time of ET 2 to freeze and 2 to transfer. 2. I don't have to take off work on Saturday, so I can use that day off for dh and my 10th anniversary!!! So excited that we will be able to slip away somewhere. Thanks girls for being my prayer warriors!

Congats Mia....wow!!!

I'm so torn today. My husband brought up Tubal Reversal last night and said he liked the idea of that (less money, natural...etc). I just don't see that as my path, I don't feel drawn to that. So this morning I started thinking...well if it's finances let me research! I found a clinic that is near me, that is starting a clinical trial on Progest. rings that I may be qualified for. That would bring my IVF treatments down to 3500!!!!! Can you believe it!!!

I pray that the Lord leads us in the right direction and that we can start sooner than June!!! YAY!

Hi girls,
Just catching up on everyone. Mia, very good fertilization news. Glad for you. Enjoy your anniversary.

Kildean, good luck with retrieval. thinking of you.

Indieblue, things sound very promising for you. I hope that you qualify for the trial. that would be fantastic.

Hello Hope, Cathan, Sonu and anyone I might have missed.

I didn't post yesterday, I was about to and I got caught up at home. I didn't have such a great day yesterday. I was hopinbg for more follicles than what we saw on sonogram. And I felt down about it because this is IVF #4. I am trying hard to keep positive and keep the faith. I find it to be very difficult. Today I feel a little better. I need to remember to let go of the worrying and let God take care of everything.

I have to admit to all of you that I am working on my spirituality. As a young girl, I went to church and went to bible study, etc. As I've grown, I've always kept God in my heart, but do not go to church or consider myself a very religious person. The faith is there, but I know that it could be stronger. I hesitated to join this thread because all of you sound so secure with your beliefs and I wasn't sure that I would fit in. I am finding that going through IVF has helped me to regain a sense of spirituality and I am working on becomming a better person. A freind from another thread was writing about a book she was reading and I asked her about it. She seemed at peace with all the IVF ups and downs and I wanted to know where she got her strength. I ended up buying it. And I've been reading it, actually I just finished it, but I am reading it again, It is helping me to have more positive attitude, to be a more conscious and better person and to focus on my faith. It has been very helpful. When I saw this thread, it intrigued me and I wanted to be a part of it. I can not quote the bible the way many of you do, but I do feel a strong connection here and I really am growing. I just want to be up front with all of you and hope that you will accept me and help to support me and guide me through all of this. And please know that I will be praying for all of you and I am here for you when you need the support from a friend. Thanks for listening. -chriss
