Hi,
I'm new here and have been devistated in my first attempt at IVF.
I am 39 years old and at my first ER they took 6 eggs.
None fertalized. It was all so quick. ER one day and phone call the next morning to say it didn't work.
I went back to the specialist today and he has put me on a different protocol this time round - long antagonist protocol. So hope this will work out this time.
I was told that all of my eggs were very fragile.
Has this happened to anyone else? If it has - did you get better results the second time round
1st cycle
Day 2 = 2 x synarel AM and PM
Day 3 onwards = 2 x synarel AM and PM, 300iu gonnal PM
2nd cycle
Day 21 = 1 x synarel AM and PM
Day 3 onwards = 1 x synarel AM and PM, 600iu gonnal PM

Sorry that none fertilized. I have come to learn you can't expect anything with doing IVF. Did they do ICSI? Sometimes a change in protocol is all it take to have better success.
Good Luck to you in the future.

Thanks for your reply
Yes they did ICSI. I was told the eggs were too fragile so now they have me on a new protocol with the hope that will make a difference.
