Husband's unfaithfulness and infertility

Postby zena300 » Wed Jul 27, 2016 8:26 am

I was TTC for 4 years. And absolutely nothing has changed. After medical examination doctors said that my analyses were fine and the problem lay in my partner. Together with my husband we have tried almost everything from herbal treatment, different pills and vitamins to yoga. We were told that smth had to help us and we just had to do it regularly and believe in it. You see, when you cant get pregnant for 4 years putting a lot of efforts into this, devoting the whole life to it, you're ready to believe in everything what can hypothetically help. Our couple wasn't an exception. At the same time a lot of my friends and colleagues became parents. Indeed I was emotionally over because of my feelings then. I was so jealous of my friends' happiness. Every time I realized that it was like "What're you doing right now? They're your best friends, everyone of them is ready to lend a helping hand while you think that deserve a baby more than any of them". And now I'm not even sure what exactly person I am. When you try so hard and don't succeed, it is very complicated. You start looking for some hidden problems inside you. After some time my husband came home and said that he was going to leave me because he met other woman which got pregnant. A blow under the belt... My life was ruined. Of course we got divorced. I know women that forgave the unfaithfulness of their husbands but for me personally it is impossible. So, now I'm single and appealingly infertile. Nobody knows why. But I want a baby sooooooooo much. Since childhood I loved children like nobody else. My doctor advised me to use modern reproductive methods like ICSI/IVF. But I don't even know whether it is possible for single women... I don't know for sure what to do.

Oh, that's so terrible. I'm so sorry that you had to live through such a situation. I'm also seeking information and help concerning ICSI and IVF. So, it's unlikely that I help you in this issue. But I want to express condolences to you. Try to forget your ex. He isn't worth worrying about. That wasn't your soulmate, for sure. You are to find it soon. Besides, I can understand your desire to become a mother. My husband always says that I should take control of my emotions and start thinking rationally because excessive emotions make problems only. I hate admitting this but he is probably right. I understand your jealousy. Of course you would be jealous. TTC for 4 years... that's so long. I think it's totally ok. And I'm sure it's temporary. zena300, we're all hear to support and help each other. You can always reckon on me. Best wishes. xxx

I'm newbie to this particular forum but I fortunately found people who think the same way at the first onset. My husband was an entrepreneur and had businesses in a number of countries. His life included a lot of travelling and once he managed to find a better place to live. Now I'm 41 single. My friends and relatives are constantly moaning that I had to do it much earlier. And now I probably understand what they meant. So sorry for you, zena300.
I'm looking for some consultation or advice what to do and what chances I have at all.

Thank you. I am getting accustomed to living without my ex already. menchos, you just need some more time to forget all that. throw all things triggering associations with him away. That will help. It helped me at least.
Any news concerning ivf?

I'm starting a new life without him. He is not a part of my life anymore. And he won't be for sure. A lot of changes came over me and as I see all this - it is good. I won't have anyone get in my road.
As for ivf. Such forums really help. I found information that iui can be used when at least one of the tube is ok. icsi and ivf are close to each other but icsi is used when partner's sperm is of bad quality or quantity. That's not a problem. Now it's time to decide which clinic to contact. Perhaps someone is aware of this?

Great. Thank you. Now it is at least possible to gain insight into divergences. I've been going through various medical examinations and tests since last week to find out why I can't get pregnant. Doctors are a bit confused and don't even try to conceal the fact. It's more than likely that my diagnosis would be unexplained infertility. As I understood I can use IVF in this case.
As for clinics. Do you consider other countries as possible variants or only homeland? There are dozens of stories, cases and recommendations on forums. I narrowed my own list down to 3 countries in EU. I'm planning to decide upon this till the end of the week and getting in touch with clinic as soon as possible. I wish I was done with all these. The sooner the better. 4 years after all.

Sorry for being so late. Have you decided finally? I'm thinking about EU countries too. I happen to be there quite often on business. Please, keep me informed if you've already got in touch with any clinic. I'm not going to draw out to a great length this too.
