Hi Fiona

I just wanted to ask how you were doing and let you know that I'm still around! Unfortunately I'm finding it difficult to log on as often as I would like as I can't access this site at work (too many nosey rosies!!) and my evenings lately seem to consist of being so tired I crash out on the sofa after dinner and am falling asleep by 9.

Anyway are you ok now? I hope all's well and you've had no more bleeding or anything. Do you have another scan soon? MIne's on Friday (when I'll be 7 weeks) so I can't wait til then...

Take care and lot of luck to everyone else out there – hope you're ok Woppa, I'm still thinking of you and Becky – what stage are you at now?

A (slightly out of touch) Jules xxx

Hi Jules and Beck,

I'm not so bad now - keep counting every day I get nearer the scan (11:20 next monday), without anymore heavy bleeding, as a bonus.

As I was telling Beck in the chat a couple of days ago, I keep having af type feelings and they really paniced me at first. Its almost like my uterus is growing, but leaving the lining behind so the lining feels like its going to shed any minute - luckily they tend to go away after about 30 mins and I've started to accept them a bit better now.

Hubs and I are tentitively talking about 'when' rather than 'if', but keeping myself in check so I don't get too carried away - and a work colleague said I had a 'twinkle' in my eye.

Oh yeh, my spots have disappeared (its only taken 23 years!!!) and my hair is incredibly greasy and lank - yuekkk. Thinking of having it chopped again so might not look so bad.

Belly never went down - did start treatment off 2 years ago as size 10 all over, but gradually crept up over the years to size 14 below (a real pear shape - comfort eating mainly), but depressed now because can't fit in any trousers (apart from joggers) and have gone out to buy a few size 16 cargo pants to see me through work days. God only knows what I'd wear if we ever went out - though far too tired after work like you Jules at the moment to even consider this.

I had made a list of scans booked - Jules Friday 8, mine Mon 11 and Charmaine's Thurs 14 - just need Beck and Lou's so can be fully prepared to frantically rub my Angel.

So, all the best of luck Jules for Friday - what time, so I can take a little time out to concentrate on sending +ve vibes.

Oh well, better think of doing some work today!

Lots of Love

Fiona xxx

Hi Beck and Fiona

Beck – thanks for the advice on the hair dye. I still think it's risky too and ok I was exaggerating my roots aren't 3 inches but I get so much horrendous grey coming through with dark hair now – YUK! I have asked a pg friend to ask her midwife for me tomorrow, so I hope I'll know more then. But of course if there's any doubt I won't do it – it's just not worth the risk. (but will possibly have to go around with a balaclava on!!)

Fiona I'm so glad to hear you're still doing ok. I know what you mean about not daring to take it for granted yet, but hopefully your scan will help put your mind at rest, as will mine! It's at 10am on Fri by the way so any Angel rubbing would be much appreciated!!

I have also not lost my beach ball belly!! I look about 4 or 5 months pg rather than nearly 7 weeks! And I too have been out buying loose jogger pants – looks like it's elasticated waistbands from now on. I stick to long skirts at work but am still paranoid about people noticing the beach ball that lurks beneath!!

Anyway take care guys

LOL Jules xxx

Hi Jules, Beck and Pru (plus Charmaine and Lou if you're around sweeties).

Had another disturbed night of worse af-type pains. Really worried me this time but pursuaded myself I mustn't panic or it'd make it worse.

Feel really stupid saying this, but gently rubbed my tummy and repeatedly thought 'Its OK, settle down in there' and lo and behold the pains disappeared after 10 mins or so.

So, give it to me straight - am I going completely bonkers now?

Feel the same as Sarah - time has totally gone to sleep. Don't know how I'll get through the drag of the weekend before the scan. And yet I know I'm going to be so scared to go in, hubs may have to drag me (gently, of course).

Still reckon I'm Knicker Checker Queen, even now.

Love you all

Fiona xxxx

Hello Fiona,

I'm still around just extremely busy at work... Which actually is a blessing. I too have been having lots of pains and especially at night, generally first thing when I get up I feel sick and have stomach cramps. I phoned the clinic yesterday to see if there was any chance I could have another eptopic (both tubes have been removed) and the answer wasn't very clear. It depends on whether all the tubes had been removed so they have asked me to come in this afternoon for a scan - So very scared at the moment (Original scan 14th November).
Fingers crossed. But if all is oky then to be honest I'm having the same pains as you, I did read an article that said and I quote "Early pregancy is one big pain in the tummy" which probably would account for all of our niggles. Well it helped me anyway. Will let you know how scan goes.

Lots of love
Charmaine
x
Hi Charmaine,

Angel getting a good rubbing right now - and I'm praying everything is OK for you.

Don't know if this helps, but nurse at MFS says would feel pain in the shoulder tip if ectopic (referred pain).

I'll keep looking out for your update.

Thanks (and to Beck) for letting me remember I'm not alone.

Lots of Love and hugs

Fiona oxo
