Haven't been on the board for a while - very busy with moving house and work etc etc.

Some of you may remember me from my first IVF cycle back in June/July which for those of you who don't tested positive but I bed just a few days later.

Well sit down before you read the next bit....................

I am now 11.5 weeks pregnant - all totally natural - spent a week in the Maldives on holiday during a very stressful housemove, came back and low and behold I was pregnant.

Have wanted to share my news with you all before now but superstition told me not to, still think I am tempting fate. Have a scan next week to test for Downs - fingers crossed. Personally I am still amazed that after nearly 6 yrs of trying I am in this condition. The down side is that I have felt totally pants for the last 2 months - certainly not blooming and feeling so bad that I can't really enjoy the fact that I am pg yet - but that time will come or at least I hope so.

For those of you still trying and hoping what can I say except, dreams really can come true, I really believe that having something else to take my mind of the whole baby topic was what worked for us, not that I would recommend moving home as a treatment!!!!

I wish you all luck, you all deserve it, in a way I feel guilty for this happening, but I know that you will all be so wonderful in supporting me.

Keep trying and hoping

All the best

DEE................ yyyiipppppeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What brilliant news for you and what a lovely thing to hear. It really does show that miracles happen.

Absolutely thrilled for you - and however bad you feel, I'm sure it's a joy to be pregnant after so long trying. Well done - so happy!!!

My hubby and were 5 years trying and succeeded on our third ICSI. Our daughter Alice is almost 9 months old and is the light of our lives. After so many Christmasses feeling down this is the one I have dreamed about for years and your turn will be here next year !!!!! Christmas is special when you're pregnant too - your last one as a couple so enjoy!!!!

Lots of Love - Jo. XXXXXXXX

Hey DeeDee !! That's fantastic news. I'm sooo happy for you both :D !!

As you say, it just goes to prove that there's something in taking your mind off all of this IVF stuff, and focusing on something else for a change.

I hope you start to "bloom" soon !

Dee Dee,

Congratulations! What a surprise that must have been for you!

It is encouraging to hear that this does actually happen sometimes....not that I'm going to get my hopes up by any means! Do you mind if I ask what the reasons were that you had been doing IVF? In our case, it is male factor so I guess I always think there may be a glimmer of hope something could work naturally.

At any rate, I wish you the very best!!!

A BIG thank you to all for your kind thoughts and wishes - as if you are ever anything other than 100% supportive.

Staci - unspecific female infertility - ie: they had no idea - the ARCG said high FSH (ie over 10) but it was always lower than that when tested elsewhere!!!! - Not a big fan of the ARGC!!!

Fingers crossed for you all - you certainly all deserve everything you wish for and I still can't believe that I am in this condition - doubt it will sink in till it arrives - and that is still a long way off.

Scan tomorrow so perhaps will start to finally believe it when I see it - still think I have been eating too much and having turned 40 this must be the start of the change.

Happy holidays to you all - relax and who knows what might happen!!!
