Caz,

We decided on ARGC due to the results in the ICSI league table. It seemed the best one. The london fertility centre results are still good though, so I hope your treatment goes well.

Tracey,

I had a consultation with mr gorgi last week (first one) who seems ok. Very matter of fact but I guess all doctors are really. (I don't know what I was expecting.. him to come skating in on roller skates and singing maybe!!!)
I feel as though we have made the right decision with the ARGC as I came away after last week with a warm glow inside (and that was b4 we stopped off for a celebratary glass of wine!!).
I know it is slightly more expensive than some clinics but in the grand scheme of things it seemed worth the extra.(and no more expensive than other london clinics)
I'm so pleased that your treatment worked first time..you are not a fraud you area ray of hope t the rest of us...thank you for your comments and I hope all goes well with you and your new family!!

Lots of love to you both Caz & Tracey!!

kirsty
Hi Kirsty

I'm in the same boat as you. But ive only just started a new job (been there 2 weeks) and I definately feel so awkward. (I knew at the interview that i was going to be starting IVF in the new year! what a fraud, but we need the pennies dont we!) I dont feel I can tell them, although Ive confided in one lady who started on the same day as me.
They'll just have to keep their noses out. I'm gonna try and hide it thru holidays and sickness. I dont know whether it's gonna be possible though. If it gets tough, i guess i'll just have to break it to them!

"Look after number one" eh!
Karen

Hi,

I agree with Alison, my boss is male and all I have to say to him is that it is gynaecological and he goes red and doesn't ask anymore. Although, I am not sure how much longer I can get away with just saying that. So far it has just been scans and PCT's for me, but I think once I have to go more than twice a month I am going to have to be honest and tell him the whole story. At the end of the day they can't sack you for it, you never know they might be very supportive. Let me know how you get on.

Good luck
Becky

I've just had a new Boss, he only started a couple of weeks ago and I'm gutted as I could have told my old manager anything (and often did)and I know she would have been 100% supportive. I must admit I'd been thinking of going along the 'Old Womens Problems' route as blokes tend to shy away from asking for any details.

Isn't it a pity that so many of us feel unable to discuss our situations openly, it's almost as if it's our guilty little secret.
Which is pathetic I know, but I just hate that feeling of people seeing me as a bit of a sympathy case!

Take care all,

Sue.
