TGIF!
8)
Wish I was a good at the posts as Miss Chriss, with all the sparkles, someday I will have to spend time to learn these tricks ;)

First, I wanted to pass out some PMA to everyone here. When I'm down I think of things that make me smile. Like for instance, currently it is Spring where I live, so blooming flowers do the trick. I go grab a pic off the internet of flowers, sometimes a field of wild flowers or just a simple bouquet, but it brings cheer to my day. Sound kind of Julie Andrewish I know.

Wanted to let everyone know I'm doing well. I had a real big scare on Wednesday morning; I awoke in a pool of blood. Naturally I called the clinic. They had me come in. Thankfully all was fine. Last week they had seen some bleeding on the scan and had asked if I was spotting to which I replied no as I was not. So, this scare is most likely the evacuation of a clot resulting from the bleeding they saw last week. The baby's heart beat is strong 171 :) I could see the head, the arm and feet buds and he/she is already wiggling around, involuntary motion of course. It is so hard to believe it's real, well except for the constipation and small stomach resulting from that side effect.

I know it is hard sometimes to keep the faith, goodness I know as I have had my doubts with this cycle almost at each step, afraid the dream will end at any moment like last cycle. Knowing that Luanne, Yasmina, Tammy, Bev, and others [my apologies for leaving names off] have had success, or about to; seeing their pix of their wee ones is enough to reinvigorate the faith and belief. Easy for me to say in my present position I know. Keep the faith ladies. Be strong. As some of the veteran's have said in the past, 'Dreams do come true' :)

Wishing everyone all the best, Have a relaxing weekend.

Hi all - just popping in to touch base with everyone - I am so sorry I've been such a crap cyber buddy...but would like to pop in to say I've been reading all your posts lately and
I miss you guys alot!

After my last BFN (my 9th one) I had a bit of a melt down to say the least. You would think I would be a bit of an expert by now at taking this sort of news! I couldn't log on here without shaking and crying and it all became a bit too much to bear. I quit my job (stupid, stupid stupid), went to UK for a lovely holiday (fab!) And after eating all that wonderful British stodgey food (reminds me of home  ), I came back fat, depressed and umemployed! I then proceeded to descend into a downward emotional spiral as I had throughly convinced myself that being broke and childless was not a good way to go through life...

Anyway - I am now slowly picking up the pieces. I decided I won't be spreading any negative vibes around and will only come back to spread some cheer and support as you amazing girls have given me in the past! As you can tell - today for me, is a good day... :) I have to say thanks to LuAnne for inspiring me to log in from that great post sent last week.

Chriss - As always, such a great friend. Good news on the change of clinics - it is always a good psychological boost to have a fresh start as well as being on the receiving end of another expert opinion. Your energy and positivism is infectious girl!

JenB - Another shining star! Sorry about the difficulties you & your DH are having now. But just remember, with DE, there is no real time pressure, so when you sort things out - there will always be another opportunity with Barcelona later on down the road. I guess we forget too, how much our DH's go through as well. Mine is a typical bloke and doesn't really show his feelings & tries to be strong for me. I've only just realised, he's withdrawn a bit from life as well, as I've been preoccupied so much with me me me! Be good to yourself and you DH my dear - as you deserve it!

Amy - I feel good about this! Awaiting your news next week. Obviously the DHEA is working it's magic...

Catharine - I can imagine how frightening your scare was. It's great you're doing so well now and are sorting out your work issues too. Great news about getting the doc you wanted! (They must be having a baby boom over there!)

As for me - I've still got a couple of frosties waiting for me. I will probably revisit once I've settled into a new job (I have to find one first!). But I also am still quite angry with my new clinic from my last cycle. (Another story) So there are many issues I have to work through before hand, Altho patience has never been one of my virtues...

Sonia, Tammy, Yasmina and everyone reading - Big hi and take good care of yourselves. (Sorry if I've missed anyone - feel like I've been away for ages!)

Have yourselves a great weekend!
Love
Andrea

Hey ladies – I’m getting addicted to the bursts of PMA on this thread. :D Thanks for your kind words everyone. You’ve all posted such wonderful, inspirational messages over the last week and I can’t thank you enough. What would I do without you all?

Hey Andrea – missed you lots too! You really have had some ups and downs recently. It doesn’t get easier, does it. Sounds like you have managed to put those troubled times behind you and things are looking up for you now. Do come and join us whenever you can and however you are feeling. Wishing you all the very best!

Amy – Hope you’ve got your weekend planned and have a perfect Saturday night out with DH sorted and a busy Sunday too. :) Like Chriss says, no point in worrying. Just think of your 2 sophisticated blastocysts and how they are snuggling in. Those little cramps and pains – it’s just all part of your unique 2ww scenario – but I know how frustrating it is being left in the dark. Try and hang on to that feeling you had after transfer – much hope and excitement. Stay strong … I’ve everything crossed for you. xxx

LuAnne – your support means such a lot to us struggling here. Your pick-me-up-post came at just the right time for me too. Can’t wait to hear more details about you and your babies.

Catharine – what a big scare you had this week. Thank goodness you could go straight away for a check-up and everything is OK. Wishing you a smooth journey over the next weeks and months.

Hey Chriss – thanks for the sparkly bits. Good to hear that you are getting support from all sides. You are sounding good and strong. I’m curious what your next steps will be. xxx

Jen – what courage you have to look inside and listen to your heart. You and DH love each other and together you are strong! Good for you, being out and about at the weekend, keeping your spirits up and looking forward with hope. Thinking of you.

I’ve been busy the last 2 days coordinating my medical support team. News finally came from our specialist yesterday… all uterus tests OK... no report, but a letter asking us to make an appointment to discuss further steps. So far so good, but the earliest we could get is in 2 ½ weeks time! :?

In the meantime I’ve been in contact with the DE clinic because AF is late. It’s silly but I’ve been worrying the whole time that they are going to tell us we’re too late to start treatment again before the summer break and we have to wait until September. Anyway we got reassurance that I could take some meds to bring on AF and donors situation is looking good for May/June too. I’ve been to my local gynaecologist to check the lining situation, have sent all the details we have to my clinic and am now waiting for further instructions.

So although things could be moving forward again soon, we’re none the wiser about how they are going to get me to transfer this time.. Just having to rely on them having a back-up plan and getting it all sorted out for us. So waiting again … c’est la vie..

Hi to Tammy, Yasmina, Bev and Anna – looking forward to your news – and anyone else I’ve missed. :D

Love Sonia xxx

hello! just wanted to write to say thanks to everyone for all of your support and never ending encouragement-- no matter the outcome of my test, I never would have made it this far without all of you offering your good wishes and good thoughts all these past months. from my heart, thanks.

andrea - so very good to see you again!!! So terribly sorry that life has not been easy for you these past months -- but it sounds like you have just wiped the slate clean and are slowly coming back to life. I think we need that every now and then. Sometimes it is more drastic than one would like, but I think it helps to regain focus and start a new more positive path -- I wish you the very best of luck in finding a new job. Is there a reason why you've decided to stay in Singapore, or are you guys exploring other options as well? I'm very hopeful that everything will begin falling back into a better place for you. Wishing you all the best. We are always here for you.

sonia -- sounds like baby steps of progess are being made! hooray!! Glad you have such a wonderful support team to back you up and guide you all the way to transfer. Great news that everything is normal in your uterus. You are going to get there this time with a super lining that your embryos will love to snuggle into...Wishing you all the best for your upcoming appt with your specialist and hoping that AF shows up in good time!! Thinking of you.

Thanks to all of you and my incredible DH, my PMA is high again today -- where would I be without you girls -- I'm looking forward to getting my results to see what is going on in there --

Big hello to chriss, JenB, Catharine, LuAnne, Tammy, Yasmina, Anna and anyone I've missed.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! I'll be back once I hear something --
xx Amy

Andrea,
So great to hear form you. I missed you. I understand the need to break away every once in a while. I am sorry about the tough time you went through. It's so easy to fall into the negative spiral. I am so glad to hear that you are on the way up now. One day at a time. Remeber your advice... no time pressure with DE, so breathe. And re-read LUANNE's message. I am going to do that myself after I post this message. I hope that you will kepp posting here.

Hi Sonix,
Although it may not seem like it at the moment, you are definately making progress. Glad that you will get to go ahead before Septmeber, that would be a long time to wait. You sound good.I guess that we can not control the speed at which things happen. Just keep moving forward, right?

Hi Amy, special PMA for you.

Amy - I can't believe this. I too really believed it would happen for you this time.

Pls don't make any rash decisions about the future just yet (treatment wise or any other - Speaking from experience... :?) Wait until the dust has settled and you and your DH are back to some sort of normality once more. There are still many options available for women like us.

Thanks too for all your wonderful support. You are welcome to PM me anytime.

Whatever you decide to do, take good care of yourself & your DH,
love

Amy-
I'm so sadden to learn of your result. Please know that our thoughts are with you and DH. Andrea has words of wisdom. Take time and let the dust settle. You and DH will find great strength in each other to pull ya'll through this time of loss.
thanx for all the wonderful support through these past few months.

Sonia-well wishes to you as you coordinate your next steps.

As for me I am still suffering from spotting :( yesterday, if I had not known better I'd thought AF was in for a visit. Yes, scary, but 1/4 to 1/3 of women experience this and still have perfectly normal full term pregnancies. Rather then call me in every other day for a scan, the RE has asked me to call in everyday with a report till my OB appt., which is this Friday. I fully agreed with the RE on this, expecially since last week all appeared well with the scan.

Sending out some PMA to everyone. Focus on the good things in life.
