Could it all be over?

Post by Sandra » Wed Aug 21, 2002 8:11 am

I am at my wits end as I have started to bleed this morning and my test isn't until Monday.

I have spoken to the Clinic who tell me it is likely to be implantation bleeding, which I have never had before, I think they are just saying that to stop me getting upset.

Has anyone else been through this when it has worked? I have stopped feeling so bloated and my boobs are not so sore and I keep getting twinges around my ovaries is this normal?

I know it worked for me before but I really can't remember what I felt like.

Please help

Sandra

Hi Sandra,

It seems like you are going through something very similar to what I went through during my 2ww. It's crap isn't it.

I bled during my 2ww, it started about 7/8 days after ET. It wasn't heavy like af but it was red and only lasted for a day. I then spotted the next day, had a little blood again the the day after that and then continued spotting for the rest of the week. For me it was implantation bleeding (so the clinic says) and I'm hoping it is the same for you.

My ovaries were twinging badly the day before I started bleeding and I had it in my head that I had an ectopic and phoned the clinic and they tried to reassure me that it was my ovaries recovering. I'm sure my clinic thought I was some mad woman who kept on obsessing.

I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

Good luck and take care.

Love maggie.xx

Hi Sandra

Please don't worry - I think it could be implantation bleeding.
I haven't had it but I have read about it.
I'm due to test tomorrow and I've been through every possible feeling and sympton you could have - from AF pains to tender boobs. One day they will be sore - the next nothing.
Hormones are very unkind at times and I guess everyone on the 2ww is experiencing the same mixture of feelings.I have everything crossed for tomorrow. It will either be the end of a dream or the start of one.

Don't give up hope.

Love Barbs xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Sandra,
I don,t know the answer to your question, but lets hope it is implant bleeding.

I too am in a real turmoil, my test date is Friday which is 14 days post et or 16 days post ec anyway I was having real af pains yesterday so I did a test....... it was -ive!!!! and I repeated it again today,still-ive.

I really wish I hadn't done it now because I don't know what to think. Both times I have tested in the afternoon and the test is a cheep supermarket brand so I am clinging to the hope that I have tested to soon and that the test is not sensartive enough!!!!!!!!!!! but am I just kiding my self?

I have not told anyone else I've tested in the hope that I am proved wrong.on Friday.

I may seem really thick as this is my 2nd go but how do u work out when af is due. I started my treatment on day one of AF, has 21 of down reg,14 days stim,1 day wait the ec 14 days ago which =50 days.
My normal AF cycle is usually 30 to 35 days.

Last time I started spotting 8 days post transfer and by day day 10 I had full blown af but this time no af and I am 12 days post transfer.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mandy.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

keep positive....

Sandra, sounds like it is implantation bleeding, why can't we understand our own bodies and know what each twinge/bleed/sore boob/chocolate desire mean??? its such s**t.

keping fingers crossed for all of you testing soon.
Mandy - know how you feel I have kept those tests going for the last five years....but if its any consolation my sis in law who is a nurse had 7 negatives and only 2 positives when she was preggers..so I guess you will have to wait for count to be high enough. hang in there you guys,

Fi
XX

Thanks for all your messages of hope!

The bleeding dosen't seem to be getting bad at the moment , just a little spotting but as I am on day 10 after ET I am convinced it is AF on its way, I usually get it on day 12, but this time it is trying to catch me out.

Barbs, sounds good you haven't had AF you must be on day 13 now, keeping everything crossed for you.

Best wishes

Pissed off Sandra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sandra

Sorry for not posting yesterday - I have just read your message.

If the bleeding isn't as heavy as a period then it could very well be implantation bleeding. I remember JD fell pg around the same time as me and had some bleeding during the 2ww and also some more bleeding after she tested positively. She is now about 25/26 wks pg.

Also, I had terrible twinges in my ovaries - a lot of people seem to. So that also could be a positive sign.

So try to hang on in until you test. I know how difficult it is - I was climbing the walls.

Wishing you the best of luck for your test.
Love
Dee xxx.

Thank you!

Thank you all for writing and thank you for being so open. I'm new at blogging about this but oh how you have lifted a weight off my soul.

I too am trying for the 6th time through IVF. The first 3 were with a Dr. that I had no confidence in due to dates and medical attention being missed. The new Dr. I am with is fabulous and I did get pregnant during my 2nd try with him but lost the baby in week 8.
Now I am on my 3rd try with him and I have just started spotting and am shaken as it was only day 7 after ET. I am praying it is just implantation bleeding because it has almost stopped completely and it was just about a cc the 1st day.
Reading your notes has reassured me and again I am grateful.

Here to being rejuvenated with hope!
