Hi Guys

Fi – Hmmph. There I was giving you advice about finding out a friend of yours is preggers, when lo and behold my friend at work (the only person who knows about my IVF, and who already has a one year old adorable baby) has just confided in me that she's preggers again! Now it's going to be thrilling for us both if my next attempt does work, and an absolute nightmare for me at work if it doesn't!!! So I guess I've got to take my own advice too now :///

Fiona – glad to hear you're not far off from me – keep in touch ok. When are you going on hols?

Jules xxx

Hi Fi

Thanks for your reply - I start sniffing on 1 Sept. My friend tries to be sensitive but you know how it is, without sounding too precious nobody really understands unless they've been there and done it themselves. She can't really hide her elation (not that I expect her too) and now she's just told me that ANOTHER girl in our team at work has confided in her that she's also preggers! So that's great – there's now two impending pregnancies for me to watch at v.close quarters - hey no pressure for me next time round then!!! It's all kind of made the situation all the more loaded for me now, as I can't help feeling how even more awful I'm gonna feel now if I do get a -ve result. But hey thats just me feeling sorry for myself...

Sorry to hear about your lack of AF - have you had any advice from your clinic about it? I really do hope you can go for it again by the end of the year, or at least have some news of where you stand. I know what it's like being in limbo – you just want to get on with it but it's out of your control which is hard.

Better go now as I'm sure my DH thinks I'm having an affair too ;)

LOLJules xxx

Hi Jules and Fi,

Only a week to go before heading down to sunny Somerset next Friday - I'm soooo looking forward to it, I can't wait.

MFS have allowed me to delay day 21 to day 22 and since its for a scan only (not bloodtest as I thought) have slotted me in at 11 am. So no need to use the Bristol hospital, and as Thursday night is the last night anyway, we just need to set off home a few hours earlier than would have been doing under normal circumstances. I'm quite relieved its not much more hassle than if we had an early flight from abroad. So, I should start injecting on Friday 6 Sept.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you Jules, best buddie at work is just starting to 'show' at about 14 weeks - I must admit, I've tried to reduce the amount I tell her now and speak mainly only about work when I have to - I feel really rotten, and I really valued her support before, but we do have to protect ourselves and this site makes up the support a multitude of times.

I keep thinking as well that if I did have a +ve next, I'd be miserable having to keep so quiet for ages when I'd be wanting to shout about it to the whole world. We really can't win can we?

Good Luck to everybody especially for your next cycle Fi (I know this is probably not what you want to hear but have you done a home pg test just in case?)

lol

Fiona xxxxx

Hi Fiona, Fi and Hayley

Fiona – glad to hear your dates have worked out ok round your hol – so you're only 5 days behind me then, as I start sniffing on the 1st! You must be injecting rather than sniffing to down reg then? I hope you have a lovely time in Somerset and a well deserved rest.

I'm on hol for a week now, alas not going away as dh isn't even off with me. He's had to save his hols for our ec/et at the end of Sept as I get more hol allowance than him ;( Plus we can't really afford to go away anyway as the IVF is draining all our spare cash this time round. I just pray it's all worth it in the end, as we've been getting a bit down as we've both been working so hard and it would have been so nice to just get away for a break. So it's the garden, books, mags and day time tv for me this week then!! (and this site of course!)

Hayley – nice to 'meet' you! Sorry to hear about your eggs last time round – that must have been awful for you. We're doing ICSI too as dh has had a vasectomy. I hope you can get another chance soon, but it's so expensive each time isn't it?

I had already thought about things coming in 3's – I only hope it's true!!

LOL Jules x
