Hi

Sorry I havent been around much recently, I do always check to see how you are all doing though.

Kate sorry your first day at school wasn't great, especially with the news someone is expecting twins, life just isn't fair is it. Hope you don't have to go down the D & C route, sending big hugs to you. I bet you have a great time in Dubai, it will do you the world of good to get away.

Julie how are you feeling? Still enjoying the Ben and Jerry's!! I loved chocolate

Nicki sending big hugs your way, I am so sorry the way things have worked out for you at the moment. Have a rest from it enjoy time with DH, recharge your batteries and then see how you feel.

Jen I can't believe how fast your IVF seems to be going, I am sure its dragging for you but we are in September already so time will hopefully fly by until October. It's terrible that we start wishing our lives away! With frosties would you get to use them at a later date for your 2nd child :D Hope you are still enjoying your bed

Lisa how are you enjoying lounging around in your PJ's, I use to go back to bed in the afternoon for a sleep, it was heaven :D I use to have long soaks in the bath, with the cat sitting on the toilet watching. Now I have to have a quick shower and if I do have a bath Katie joins me which is fantastic but not relaxing as she loves splashing and she is as slippery as an eel! Hows the nursery? We have Millie and Boris in Katies and pale pink walls. I went completely off sex when I was pregnant and on the odd occassion I fancied it DH just didn't want to, dont worry that all passes and sorry if TMI

Good luck today Judy.

Katie is doing really well and sleeping in her own room which seems really strange, me and DH kept putting it off but finally plucked up the courage to move her, she loves it as she can roll onto her front and move sideways as her cot is much bigger than her crib.

Swimming is going really well and she starts swimming lessons this weekend. She is on solids 2 meals a day which is lovely, messy and fun

Better go and give my little miracle her bath :D

Thank you all for your well wishes. Unfortunately we didn't get the good news today   And they didn't call until after 5 (I'm in Arizona, Pacific Time in the summer). So needless to say, I'm more than depressed. I have told myself many times to stay strong regardless of the outcome, yet when my sister called to ask the result, I broke down and cried.. DH whos' usually so positive in this is all just sitting quietly there. We have an appt with the doc on Thurs., see what's next.

Hi all

Judy (((HUGS))) to ya sweetie..sorry to hhear your news...as Kate said it's good to cry and let the feelings out. Be kind to yourself and do something special ( like Nicki go on holiday) It's a tough time. x much love x x

Nicki- how are you doing hun? You do sound more positive but i can tell your heart is still breaking...It's been a long an tough road for you..you are so strong...what doesn't break you , makes you!!! Your time will come and you will have a baby in your arms...Mystic Meg is never wrong! x x

Kate- What a nightmare your work sounds, and so difficult that a twin preg is totally in your face. sometimes i think the Gods just through all the shit of the day at us to see how we will respond. You girl are made of stern stuff and will wing it through. Hurts tho, and it will take time to heal. For me even to the expected birth date. Everyone is differant and as Gail said i do hope that everyting ends natuarlly and you don't need to go for a D&C. With your busy wok life i do hope you and Dh have some quality time out at Dubai. I have friend sthere but have never ventured It will be some great time away for you and DH. much love x x

Gail- Great to hear your news about your wonderrful life with Katie. Soon you and Lisa will be having long baby chats on here. That will be wonderful to hear you both comparing notes. Katie is a wee cracker tho and i love hearing about all her adventures in her new room. Must be hard moving her. you probably kept checking on her every 5 mins  much love x x

Lisa- Hun time is marching on....2nd oct is nearing...Do you have any appojntments soon t check the baby is engaged??? How are you feeling about the birth? Excited with trepidation? whats the hospital like you are due to go into? Many questions i know  Hope DH has finished all the Dad painting stuff and the 2 of you can spend some time together this weekend. x x x

Lucy- hope your enjoying your hols 8) 8)

julie- I am loving your full of Spirit posts hun. I am so happy for you and that you are loving your 2nd tri. although 3rd tri is soon...Is lazy boy doing any flips yet??? Whats your nursery like? As for ben and Jerry's i am a european at heart and Hagan Daz is my fav...mnnn a tub doesn't last long in this house. x x x

As for me ...i finish my antibiotics today..hurrah!!! I have been suffering from mega headaches which i have put down to the BC ppills but i do think the anti-b's aren't helping either. have been drinking tons of water but am struggiling and last night was in bed at 8pm with mega heaadache. I had a terrible time with down reg on 1st ivf mega headaches and thats why i went to short protocol as no down reg. Hate all this feeling ill stuff. Hopefully by week 3 end next week i will be getting some patches on and stopping the bc pills. that is the soonest time so fingers crossed for me girls that it's soonerr ratheer then later to start E2 patches .The pma stuff is still a stuggle ( arn't most things with a banging headache) but your words of encouragement and hope are helping. Thanks to you all for that. **cry** don't know what i would do without you pheonixes you all keep me going x x x x

Dh and i are going to Fort William this weekend...it's the mountain bike downhill championships...to tell you the truth i jsut want to sit down and curl up into a ball this weekend. ..but then i can do that in the motor home :D and read a book while DH does the boys stuff!!!! My home from home ( anad it has a memory foam mattress so very comfortable Jules)

Love to ya all

Hi all,

Thank you for the wonderful support, I feel much better now. What doesn't break you certainly makes you stronger. Hopefully after tomorrow's follow up appt, we'll figure out next step. For now, we'll try to relax and chill. With my mom and in-laws coming to visit next couple of weeks, it'll at least keep my mind off this.

Kate, saw what you went through, it must have been very hard too. Please hang in there, it is an uphill battle, but we phoenixes will win in the end! Dubai sounds like fun, please share your vacation stories when you come back.

Nicki, Hope you are feeling a little better. It sucks so much to hear the BFN. Why can't they spend some more time and get some real research into this to perfect this process? With the pain that comes with infertility, it really should qualify as a top priority in research funding. I hope they can have some breakthrough in this soon.

Jen, did you just start your treatment? I'm not sure what the E2 patches are.. Have fun in Fort Williams, in the motor home, reading your book :)

Julie, it must be great to see your little bean in the ultrasound! When are you due?

p.s. I'm going to check out the book 'Invitro fertlity goddess'. Someone in this forum mentioned it, supposely real funnly. I can take some cheering up now :)

Hi all OMG I've only been off for 3 days and so many posts to read!

Firstly Judy - WELCOME to our gang. :D Yes we are a lovely bunch, loads and loads of support on here. I am so sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for. It sucks doesn't it? How is dh taking it now? I think blokes tend to internalise their feelings a lot. They are hurting just as much but just don't like to show it. ((((( HUGS ))))) your way xxxx

Nicki - as per texts, msn chats etc, I am thinking of you as always. Words don't describe just how disappointed & frustrated I feel for you doll. I think this break to Banff is just what you need. Long walks, country pubs, quality time with dh. You and dh will get through this as you are both strong. You just need time to get your heads together. You know where I am for more msn chats etc. Lots of love xxxxx

Kate - I am praying that af comes for you hun and you don't need to go to hosp. And so sorry to hear about you having to go thro the heartache of finding out about someone else's twin pg. Like Jen says, sometimes you wonder what the gods are playing at. I am also a firm believer of what won't break you makes you stronger. And you are one tough cokkie in the making  Dubaii sounds just the ticket. Lots of love to you too xxxxx

Jen - sorry to hear about headaches  but like always you sound as if you are taking it all in your stride. I'm really really excited for you that you are so near now to your dream and that precious bundle of joy :D So you'll be going back to IM in about 4 weeks for ET?? Is that about right? And next step is E2 patches? Make sure you take it easy this weekend in the motorhome whilst Adam does boy stuff! LOL!

Julie - fantastic to hear all went well with the scan. And well done for resisting finding out the sex. So lazy boy isn't so lazy after all!! Bet soon you'll wish he was lazy once you start getting knee'd, elbow'd and generally booted!! Glad you are handling the sister stuff well. Have you bought any more things yet or made any more plans for baby?

Gail - thanks for the info re jiggy jiggy  It honestly made me feel a lot better as I was thinking "what if its always like this afterwards too?" so I am glad to hear its just temporary altho don't get me wrong, I know its not exactly going to be the first thing on my mind in the few weeks afterwards :? I can just imagine Katie rolling around in her big cot, thinking she's in seventh heaven

Lucy - hope you're enjoying your hols

Well, I sometimes think I'm busier now than when I was at work. I never have been one for lying about much (says me who today is still in her PJ's yet again!! LOL!). There just seems to be so much to do - I think its the nesting instinct and I don't think its really hit me yet that in no more than 5 weeks, dh and I will be parents. Scary! And yes Jen, we can't wait to meet her. The nursery furniture has arrived and the pram is in stock now so have to pick up those. Dh is nearly finished the hall so need to go and order a hall carpet. Need blinds for the living room and trying to catch up with my friends one last time before the sleepless nites start.

Dh and I went to an antenatal class yesterday, all about breastfeeding. I think its put my off! I so want to try but everyone I speak to seems to have major problems initially with baby not latching on properly and the jist is , that you don't get much support in hosp as the midwives are so short staffed. But I am trying to stay relaxed about it and see what happens.

Well I better throw myself (or rather waddle myself) into the shower now. Bump is gigantic (I will try put some photos from my phone onto photo bucket) and belly button is freaking dh out! Have started cooking and freezing portions of food for when the chaos starts so off to Tesco's soon

Love to all xxx

Morning girls!

Nickie - I totally understand your pain and feelings about believing again, but it does get easier and like Jen said you will believe again. You just need time out to recharge the batteries and then you will come back better and stronger. It will happen, perhaps you can't see it at the moment, but I will keep the faith for you x

Lisa - how is the mummy to be? Has DH finished off all the decorating? Bet the next few weeks will fly by and then the little one will be here as will the sleepness nights!!

Gail - great to hear that you and Katie are doing well and that she is still aiming to be the next Olympic champion!!

Jen - sorry to hear about the headaches, hope you don't have to put up with them for too much longer - hopefully that treatment will help. What do the E2 patches do?

Julie - great news on the scan, well done you on not finding out the sex, that must have been so tempting? Not sure I would have been able to hold off!

Judy - hope you are ok?

Lucy - enjoy your hols!

As for me, school is manic (when isn't it?) but at least its Friday! AF is definitely on her way as I've had some spotting, so hopefully she will arrive sometime over the weekend. That has made me feel alot better as I really didn't want a D & C, so it looks like I may have avoided that!! Have a pretty hectic weekend planned, house warming party tonight and then another big party and BBQ on Saturday - I think Sunday may be spent recovering!! Will hopefully book the flights to Dubai as well over the weekend, so that is something to look forward to.

Lisa and Jen - can you recommend anywhere in Scotland to go? DH and I were talking last night and we fancy going around May half term (end of May) and staying in a cottage somewhere fairly remote (needs to be a pub within walking distance tho!!) but with stuff that we can do - canoeing, rafting etc? We would have a car with us, so driving to places wouldn't be a problem. Thanks

Hope you all have a fab weekend, catch you later
