Hi Girls,

Finally got a spare couple of minutes so I can post personals and see how everyone is!!

Julie - sorry to hear about the results, but at least they have said it is the best one to have (is there a best one to have?!!) and now they can start you on some drugs to eleviate the pain. Bit of a nightmare with the job tho - you def wouldn't be able to go back to being a secretary. Glad to see William is behaving himself and sleeping (almost) through the night!!

Jen - that's horrible news about Adam and his job - why is it that its always the hardworkers that get shafted? Those people that do as little as poss always seem to get away with it and those of us who work hard, as soon as something happens that the boss doesn't like we get the blame? I hope it gets sorted soon and he finds something else. As for tmt, I know exactly how you feel about trying again and regrets - perhaps once the job situation is sorted he may come around, I'm sure Adam just wants to do what is best for you x

Nickie - good to see you are feeling better. I'm sure the house thing will sort itself out, you know what its like here, something is said and everyone panics! Once people realise they just have to be sensible with money and the banks start behaving themselves I'm sure you will soon sell your house. When do you go to Wales/borders of to look at properties? Let me know about May half term and whether your days off coincide.

Lisa - hope you are ok and Mia is behaving herself
Gail- how's Katie?

Hi to everyone else.

As for me the first week back has killed me and its so bloody cold outside!! So much for rounders on the sun, more like rounders in a force 9 gale!!

Am feeling positive about the medicine I am taking and the effects it will hopefully have. I am thinking about asking for a womb biopsy when I go for my first consultation with this new doctor - I just want to cover all bases and make sure that the infection is fully cleared up - what do you think? We've got to have all the usual tests done again and I thought I might as well have it all done in one go. Jen - did it take long to do, was it painful, how did they do it? Sorry to ask so many questions but I just want to get it all straight in my head! Hopefully I might not need to have further tmt if what the doctor said is true, but if I do then I want to make sure I am all sorted.

Anyway, lunchtime duty calls so I need to get some lunch first. Have a good weekend and I will catch up with everyone later!

Morning!

Hope everyone had a good weekend?

I need to have a bit of a rant if that's ok? I think I told you a few mths back that one of the women that I work with is pregnant? She feel pregnant the first mth of trying and since then she has not stopped moaning about how difficult her pregnancy has been!! She is doing my head in!

From the moment she feel pregnant all she has been concerned about is how quickly she would be able to get back into her size 10 jeans!! She initially refused to acknowledge that her bump was getting bigger. She has taken it to the extreme now that at 6mths she has really low blood pressure (she almost passed out on Friday) and its all due to the fact that she is not eating enough....the doctor told her this! However, she continues to moan (and call the baby 'a little f**ker) about how difficult it has been even though all she has had is morning sickness (par for the course?) and now low blood pressure brought on by herself!! She is even talking about going on maternity leave early because it is so bad she can't cope - perhaps if she ate more and was less concerned about her size she wouldn't feel so tired and light headed?

I'm really sorry but she doesn't realise how lucky she is and yet she is moaning all the time. I just know that her labour will be the worst that anyone has ever had!!! To make it worse for some reason the school pampers her, even though there are another 3 women pregnant in school she gets all the extra help!

Right rant over - just needed to get that off my chest! Perhaps I am being unfair to her?

Anyway, I will post something a little more cheerful later!

Hello all my phoenix buddies and apologies - I had no idea it had bee so long since my last post. I am sorry girlies - a lot been happening! but first - I want to do long awaited personal....

Jen - I am so sorry everything sucks right now but great that you and Adam are keeping the lines of communication open. Sounds like you have a really strong relationship. Its such a difficult decision you face - think I would feel the same as you, that I'd want to try again ... hope Adam comes to that decision too. Glad you 3 (incl little Brocey) are still getting plenty time away in moto  Big hugs to you 3 xxxx

Nicki - sorry to hear you were poorly honey. Chest infections are so nasty - I used to get them all the time when my asthma was bad. Hope you are all better now? As Jen said you're house will sell honey but its just gonna take time in this slow market. Just keep holdin on and it will happen. Then you will start realising your dream! xxx

Julie - I'm sorry to hear about your arthritis. I can only imagine how it must feel esp when you are trying to hold William and feed him etc. How is the little one? That's fab about his overnight sleep - you must feel like a new woman. I felt immediately better when Mia started sleeping through. Have you started the hungry one on any solids yet?? Glad your Mum doesn't have the C but still serious about the hysterectomy. Thinking of you xxx

Kate - wow that is fantastic about the poss of natural BFP within 3 months. Wow!! Wonderful news and you had a great hol despite the rain. That woman at your work made my blood boil when I read your post  Some woman have absolutely no idea do they .....xxx

Gail & Katie - hope you two are still out havin a ball everyday xxx

Lots happening with us 3 - firstly I have stinkin flu and feeling lousy. Dh on day off today which is lucky but not sure how I'll manage with Mia tomorrow if I feel as bad as this. The down side of no family support near by :( Mia is fab - happy all the time and sleeps half 7/8 til 7/half 7. We've had a few tantrums with introducing new foods but we'll get there! She loves her milk though - stopped breast feeding 2 weeks ago but she loves her bottles even more.

Dh is still job hunting - apparantly there's a lot of retail snobbery so might struggle to get into a good fashion retailer. Is applying for lots thro recruitment agencies tho and still early days. Lots to think about as where we stay exactly and where dh works has to match up so he doesn't have the same long day as now (7am-7pm). I met with my work a couple of weeks ago and proposed 29.5hrs over 3.5 days (more than I really wanted but would work best all round). work initially said they thought I'd need to come back full time !! and was very upset about that but thankfuly they've come back and said hey have accepted my hrs on 12 wk trial basis. Start back mid July. Hopefully after that time we will be nearer to moving back home.

Finally dh's dad v unwell and has been in hosp for 10 days now. Had a cardiac arrest and internal beeding plus bad chest infection. Nearly never pulled through so we have been back and forth home and was on my own with Mia last week for few days whilst dh by his dad's bed. Very stressful all round and re confirms why we want to be closer.

Ok sorry for mammoth post. That'll teach me not to leave it as long betw posts! Love to all xxx

Jen - just sending you love and hugs. Hope the MS sorts itself out and you start feeling better soon. Am also hoping you and Adam find a way through this that you can both agree on. This IVF lark really outs us through the mill doesn't it - not only physically but emotionally as well.

Thinking of you both

Jen sorry to hear you've not been well with the MS. That sucks but glad you are getting support and comfort from your mum and dad. Big hugs to you, so sorry you and Ad are still sorting out your next step re ttc. Thinking of you honey, take care xxxxxx

Nicki - sorry to hear you're still getting better - prob cos you get a chest infection, they cn take ages to clear. Poor you hun. Hugs xxx Hope you're keeping positive re house. The market is so slow right now, hope you're taking comfort in knowing that but things will happen! Thanks for your words of support I appreciate them

Julie - how did William's christening go? Would love to hear all about it and see photos on photobucket!

Kate - how's your natural ttc'ing going? Hope you're havin fun with that tee hee

Had a rubbish week - ended up with full blown flu on thurs after feeling ill since Monday.. Spent the day on the couch in my pj's trying to look after Mia. She was good as gold wee soul, just played away but I felt awful that I couldn't look after her properly whilst I curled up under duvet as much as poss. My mum had to come friday and look after her whilst I spent most of the time in bed over the weekend. And I still don't feel right - like you Nicki, no energy and have felt quite gloomy and blue with it  Still no news on job front for dh  His Dad still in hosp but will probably get out on fri which is good news tho :)

And yes Nicki more hours than I really wanted to work but as we don't have family here to help with childcare Mia will be in nursery and since its Edin city its expenisve (£400 per month for 2.5 days weekly) dh will have a daddy and daughter day one day during week too on his day off whilst I work. Also there were going to be difficulties in working less hrs cos of what I do unless I dropped a pay grade (and a drop in pay of £7,000 per year  )which would then have made it more difficult to work less cos of the drastic pay cut I would be taking! So a catch 22. Hoping it won't be forever tho if we really do manage to get moving home at some point.

Right I'm off for a cuppa then an early nite so I hopefully feel better 2mro

Love to all xxx
