Thanks all for your nice messages!

I am back in Dubai, have done 2 blood test since last wednesday and the numbers are progressing well so I am trying to relax a bit.... But it is so hard!
I guess I wont feel good until I see heartbeat(s), then past the 12 weeks, then delivery etc etc... the worries never stops!

I have no symptoms so far apart from sore boobs and tiredness. I cant sleep in the morning (wake up around 5) then go back to bed, then nap in the afternoon!

Kate , I am happy I give you hope! I can say now that anything can happen on a last cycle! Do you know yet when you tmt will be?

Nicki, I still cant believe you are going to travel around the world!! It takes a lots of guts and I am sure many of us envy you! What a great thing to do. You gonna have so much fun!

Jen, hope you are enjoying your time in France. The weather was horrible the 5 weeks I was there :(. And I had to dive in the pool (the water was sooo cold) to try to fix something (and I did not manage to do it anyway)

Julie, Gail, Smita. Lis , Cla.
I bet your little ones are not so little anymore. I have been on the photobucket for ages, I might have a quick look soon to see the lovely faces!

Going for a quick nap now

thanks for your support

Souris - Hope you feel well. Great news about the bloods. Really chuffed. My little one is not so little anymore - he growing fast. They grow up far too quickly. Take care x

Lisa - Sounds like you enjoyed Stew's time off. Had nice weather too! Hope the reolocation/new jobs come off. Work is a bummer! No luck with new job but although trying to work nearer home I would have to do more hours because of the salary drop so am thinking about the fact I can go back to my old job 3.5 days instead of 5 locally to keep me sane.....hard to know what to do. Arthritis not too bad ta. Think you get used to it really although housework and general day stuff can be a bind. Mia sounds delightful, bet she is so curious! x

Nikki - How's you? Hope ok. Can see the sense behind the pill scenario. I could never go back on it because of the psychological factors. Have a break when you start your jetset lifestyle and you never know what being out of the rat race could do for you! Hope you feel ok chick x

Jen - Hope having a fab break in France and the weather improving x

Kate - How was the stand-in post at work? Hope went ok. Can't wait for your treatment to start and hear you are following Souri's footsteps x

Gail - Hope you are both doing well. Katie must be sooo petite! Bless. William is 16 2 at the mo and eats anything I give him. Not very mobile tho.....rolled over for the first time on Saturday x

As for me I had a great time Friday night. Went to my friends for her and my birthday night out/in (i went out to stay in at hers). She has a jacuzzi hot tub and it was fab. Stayed in for hours hoping I would shrink a bit. Got in at daft oclock and really suffered on Saturday but doesn't happen often. William doing great. He rolled over for the first time on Saturday, and is very chatty and sounds like he is saying hiya and daddy but not sure as its a bit soon. He is eating anything I give him too....just like moi! As for the job hunt I have two applications I am still waiting to hear about.....hope they come off!

Going to finish cleaning the bathroom.......Take care all xxxx

Hi Girls,

Just a quick one to see how everyone is.

Jen - I know you are away but I hope you are enjoying France and its sunshine!

Julie - you stop out!! Got to make the most of it when you can as like you said I doubt it happens very often. Good to hear Willaim eats any and everything. Was watching a programme last night about kids who won't/can't eat. There was a boy on there who aws 3 and half who was still on bottles (about 20 a day!!) and consequently was still in nappies. His mum was getting up in the night to change him and give him abottle and all because when he'd gone on solids he'd been violently sick. It turned out he had an intolerance to dairy, but they solved that and now mum was too scared to try solids again!! Good luck with the job hunting.

Lisa - how is the job hunting going, any luck? Must be horrible thinking about having to go back to work!

Souris - how is the pregnant one? I'm sure things will work out this time and before you know it you will have a bundle of joy in your arms.

Nicky - how are you? Have meant to txt you but things have just got in the way! Hope the plans for the 'world trip' are coming along nicely - I am soooo jealous! Think you are right about the pill, you never know do you?

Hope everyone else is ok?

As for me I start down-regging tmr - how quickly has that come round? Before you know it I'll be telling you that I am flying to Sweden for the EC. Had a few doubts yesterday about what if this doesn't happen etc but then told myself that it has worked before so why not this time...got to stay positive!

I had my internship last week at another school as adpeuty head which I have to say was lovely. Even had a half offer of a job (there were no vacancies but if there were....) so I must have done something right!

Anyway, will speak to you all later

Hi girlies :)

Kate - wow, down regging already, yes that has come quick! And yes you must stay positive as you have EVERY reason to be so! When roughly to you go to Sweden? How you feeling about the travelling side of things and new clinic? great news about the internship, you sound like you are doing great in your job, well done! xx

Julie - I'm glad you had a good nite at you friends. Hot tub sounds just amazing, hope you had champers in there with you too!! That's great that William is doing so well with the talking and the rollling and any more peggies yet? - Mia still hasn't rolled over. I've come to the conclusion she is too laid back. SHe is happy to be on her tummy, back or sitting up playing with her toys and babbling away but just not interested in moving from that position!! Think that's why she's now 22lb 4oz!! Hope you find another job hun. I too am going back 3.5 days. If/when we move home I will be taking quite a drop in salary and will have to consider the same thing about possibly uping my hrs. xx

Nicki - glad the plans for your trip are coming along nicely. Bet you can't believe you are going! Sounds absolutely amazing!! Can you believe you've only a couple of months to go before you stop working??!! xx

Jen - glad you are having fab time in France and thanks for texting me back, that was lovely!! Enjoy every second of it xx

Souris oh preggie pheonix, how are you? Hope you can start to relax now a bit. Any word of scan date? xx

Well my wee Mia is choked full of the cold and barking like a dog wee soul. Very unhappy and has hardly eaten a thing since Friday. Her coughing is keeping her awake at nite and she is thoroughly miserable during the day which is so unlike her! Doc says no infection tho so hopefully she will be on the mend soon. Has done 6 swimming lessons now and at each one she does 3 underwater swims - last week I had to put her under and let her go (! under water). I was amazed the wee souls swam straight to the top perfectly! Apparently they can sink to the bottom of the pool  or even turn upside down the first time  :!: but she is doing great and confidence really growing in the water.

I am back to work in 4 wks now and going in tomorrow afternoon for some keeping in touch time. Basically I get paid for going in and its offset against my mat leave pay.

Anyway better go as Mia having nap but is now coughing and crying at same time.

Hi Girls - What miserable weather!!

Kate - Sounds like you did a great job as deputy and it was appreciated!! Well done you. I saw that programme about children not eating....mad wasn't it! Chocolate and crips my kind of diet tho...Best of luck with the dwon regging xx

Lisa - Hope Mia is better. Not being able to help her must be awful. Hope it clears soon x William is a lazy bones and hates being on his front! No peggies either yet...Mia sounds like a water baby. We take William swimming each week but have never dared dunk him. You are very brave! Hope this afternoon at work goes ok xx

Hello guys,

just a quick post to give you an update.

I had my first scan yesterday and there was one sac (I was sure there would be 2, I could feel twins since the beginning) with one good heartbeat, and another embryo in the same sac, but smaller and no heartbeat.

The doc said he can either develop and we will see another heartbeat at my next scan (1st of july) but she believe that it will most probably disappear... She said she rather have the other one not developing as pregnancies are too difficult with twins :? And i told her that this will be my only and last pregnancy and if I have 2, then I will be over the moon!

That was a bit strange of a comment I thought... Anyway, I am reassured that there is 1 healthy heartbeat (she did not give me the rate though)

I am concerned about the fetal age, as from this web site I was 6 weeks 5 days yesterday, but from her calculations, I am just past 6 weeks (2 days).. I thought it was very precise with IVF??

Anyway, cant wait for the 1st of July to come!

Souris! Congratulations on your scan. Really pleased about your little one. Sorry to hear about your other embie. Fingers crossed it is a little fighter and things will be better on 1 July. x My 7 week scan showed similar in that I had two separate sacs with two heartbeats but one was measuring a week smaller than the other and sadly it had disappeared on my 10 week scan. Very common in pregnancy apparently. They call it the vanishing twin. I do sometimes wonder what would have been....however, we have our little miracle now and I am sure the same will be for you. Its fantastic you have a BFP!!!!!! I will keep everything crossed that you get the news you hope for on your next scan xxxx

As for dates...I am not so sure....my IVF clinic gave me a due date of 14 Jan and my scan clinic 9 Jan. He came on 23 December so was a little early. I really think (not a medical opinion, just my own) that it depends on the stage of the embryo when they are put back i.e. I had a 5 cell and a 4 cell replacement and I believe the 4 cell perished. If they had put a 3 cell back maybe it would be younger so to speak and I would have been due a little later.....I don't know but hope you know where I am coming from. Dr's don't know much anyway lol! I seem to remember (and Lis correct me if I am wrong) that Lis's Dr gave her an obscure due date and wouldn't take Lisa's word for it until she told her it was Donor Insemination.....what do they know!!! Best of luck kiddo xx

We fine here, very tired at the moment and William has a nasty cough and cold. At the Dr's tomorrow for a check up to make sure not on his chest as wheezy. Hope you all ok xxxx

Hi just a quickie - just sat down to post and low and behold, madam upstairs has decided to wake from her morning nap!

Souris - congrats on one strong heartbeat that's fantastic. I'm sorry to hear about your other little one, will keep everything crossed. I suppose the doc was trying to reassure you that one healthy baby in the womb better than 2 not so healthy ones if one wasn't doing too well but yes these doctors lack dipomacy! I think they often open their mouths before they think! Rest up and try chill out as much as humanly possible til your next scan xxx

Julie - I feel for William wee soul! Is hs chest clear? Doc gave Mia nasal decongestant drops to use for 5 days which really helped with the sleeping. Last week we had one very bad nite - was up 8 times betw 12 and 4!! All better now tho.

Work went ok - however parking not sorted out (need a permit - my boss promised we one when she didn't have the power to do so and is now backing down) - leaves me in the proverbial as can't drop Mia at nursery otherwise! NCP is £8 per day!! Also very short staffed in the unit so going back to chaos. Not really what you want to hear when your already not looking forward to going back but hey ho, what choice do I have? Exactly - NONE!

Anyway better head up to her majesty up the stairs. Huge hugs to everyone. Will pop in again very soon xxxxxx

SOURIS - HOW WAS YOUR SCAN YESTERDAY? THINKING OF YOU X

Kate - How's the Downregging going? Hope you are well xxxx

Lis - William is much better thanks. Sounds terrible though and as if he is chesty but he isn't - dr says it is nasal and has given us saline drops for his nose, basically water! Don't seem to help....Could do with a right good cough too as a little rattly!

Work sucks doesn't it....still waiting to hear if my hours are accepted and my return date. Hope you get parking sorted because it is so expensive and is a major factor on where you work because of the expense. xxxx

Hi guys,

just a quick update as I have nausea all day ( I am happy about it! but I am getting tired.)

scan was good, only 1 baby though.
heartbeat was at 150, and baby measured 1.6cm so double its size in 10 days. Next scan in 15 days.

I still dont understand about the age as the obgyn told me i was 6w2 days (I should be 8w2 days so 2 weeks late??)
but I googled babies ultrasound and from what I found, the baby size correspond to a 8 weeks baby... very confusing. At least the baby is growing, this is the most important but I wish I knew about the real date!

also the obgyn told me she rather not have me travel to France in 3 weeks , but it is our annual holidays at our home, dh children are coming, my nephew, then mum, then dad... I cannot stay on my own so I will go, but now that she told me that, I think that i am selfish taking a chance with this baby health

going to lie down now...
