So sad and disappointed after a BFN

Postby kall70 » Wed Apr 30, 2008 7:20 pm

Hi everyone,
I am 38 years old and don't have any children. My husband has low sperm motility so we thought we'd give it IVF a go see if we could have a child.

So after an anxiety-full, hopeful, stressful and totally emotionally, physically, financially and mentally consuming IVF cycle I've got my result back today: a Big Fat Negative! How sad is that!

Well I haven't got any frozen as I am not that young 38 years of age so I'm not producing much of the eggs no more.... Plus we couldn't afford any more IVF's anyway. End of the road here I guess.... I'm so sad...

Hi there
I am very sad for you :( :( My dh also has a very bad sperm problem. We have spent everything we have to do ivf/isci and the later two iui cycles. Our attempts at isci failed as they were unable to retrieve any normal sperm to use so my EC was a waste of time and money. We decided later to use donor sperm and after two cycles I am now 5 weeks pregnant. It has been a very hard and hurtful road but we got there in the end.

I hope you start to feel better soon!!!!
