Newbie, facing IVF

Postby ginnymoorehead » Fri Sep 03, 2010 6:21 pm

Hi, everyone! I'm Ginny and my husband and I have been TTC for nearly four years. We've went been through everything from clomid and timed intercourse to injectables and finally IUI. Now, we're facing IVF. They think I have PCOS, but I don't show any of the signs of PCOS other than not ovulating and having a few extra, small eggs in each ovary every month. I am unsure how to feel about IVF. I have invested so much time, emotion and money into fertility treatments that I've become a bit numb. I am not surprised that we are now faced with IVF. I always had an itching feeling that nothing else would work.

I am longing to talk with people who "get" what I am feeling and experiencing. I am so tired of people saying that that I will have a baby when the time is right or to relax... or go on vacation. It's like telling someone who is blind that they just need to relax and eventually their sight will return. They don't understand that it's a medical condition and that I need more than a couple glasses of wine and new lingere to have a baby. I mean, do they really think that we haven't tried EVERYTHING else? Ok, sorry about that... I just had to get it out of my system.

I am here because I would like to give and gain support from others who are in my situation.

I look forward to hearing about each of you!
