Hi there

Welcome here :D

You will find that there are a few doing IUI at the moment who will be able to share experiences with you.

On the General Forum there is a thread for the May Buddies, when you are ready pop over there and join us - we are affectionately known as The Blooming Mayflowers.

How far into your cycle are you?

PMA and best wishes.

Well i had my scan and no go again!
I had 4 follicles on left side and 2 on the right!
Got to wait another month without drugs and do a natural cycle again!
At least i know everything is working ok.
Had some possible good news though,we may fall in to the criteria for funding as the hospital funds non stimulated iui.

So fingers crossed will find out next month!

Also bit of gossip Sharon Davis the olympic swimmer was in waiting room so i guess infertility can happen to us all sometimes!

Jo

:( Sorry it's a no go at the moment for you, but I'm glad that you are being so positive about the next go.

Does that mean you will be a June girl - if so there is a June thread for the girls (your name will be JuJu Jelly Baby)?

Hope you are ok.

Hi Joanna, welcome
Sorry to hear that you won't be doing iui this month but it will be good if you can get next cycle free. I just had a cycle of iui, it was negative this time but if you want to ask anything feel free.

Hello Nicola

Great to hear from you as you are going through iui,as i havent had any done yet,im not quite an expert but if i can help with anything im an expert on the procedure!

Will your scan be internal? if it is dont worry it doesnt hurt at all and its quite fasinating seeing all your follicles on the screen,im just waiting for the one i have when im pregnant!!

To tell you the truth im not expecting too much from the iui as i have been told it is only a 15% chance, but you never know miracles do happen and people have been succesfull !

Good luck and keep me posted!

HI Leigh

Sorry to hear your iui was unsuccessful, im not convinced it will work for me as we have been told the rates of success are 15% but we will have to see.

How was the procedure?
I have been told it is simular to a smear test,
just a little bit uncomfortable.

Are you going to try another one?
We have decided we will only try once then we will go on to ivf which has a 30% success rate per cycle.

Keep me posted.

Love jox
