Happy, shiny and New! (For now...)

Post by Valb »

Hi, I'm Val. I'm new on this site and am looking for other women on the same journey. I'll be making my babies on my own, choosing the single mommy route. I'm 41 and have always been focused entirely on work and career. Love my work. Never had time (or interest) in the baby-thing. Until it hit me this year. Oops. Hope the eggs aren't too old yet! That's my basic story. I was told by a veteran IVFer to introduce myself here, so that's the scoop!

Well done Val ! ... I don't think we've got any other single mommies at the moment ... Well, not off the top of my head anyway ..

You'll be pleased to hear that we've had lots of success recently in the over 40s club .. (you may have already found it ... there's a thread dedicated to 40+ on the general forum).

Also, we do have first cycle success stories ... ! Everything crossed !

Thanks for your replies! I'm out here in Los Angeles and I guess there are a lot more of the single mom types around here. I have four different friends in similar situations doing IVF this year, one because of chemo, three others who (like me) were done waiting for Mr. Amazing to come along--so to speak--oooh, is that a bad joke?? .

Glad to hear 41 isn't too ancient! Got latest test results a few minutes ago. Follicles are right on schedule.

Love...
