Nervous and Scared about IVF & ICSI Just need to vent

Postby tonyacheek24 » Fri Jul 08, 2005 8:56 pm

Hello All! I finally got my protocol, I'm so early in the stage of IVF but I know that my life will be changed very soon. I start my injections on the 23rd of July and approximate transfer and date if all goes well is August 15. It's very hard when you want something soo bad, you've dreamed of it since you were a young child to have a family and then you try to finally do things right by being married, have a nice home, with plenty of bedrooms and then you find out there a 55 percent chance of IVF working for you. I read all stories positive and negative and you cant help but to be discouraged but it's a little hope on the inside of it working for you too. I compare people's age and situation to my situation and think if it didn't happen for them maybe it won't happen for me but everyone's situation is different I know. I just ask that we all touch and agree that it will happen and work for us. I know that so many women have the same prayers as I do. Just when you really want a baby you see everyone with babies and being pregnat and you want that for yourself. I've never wanted anything in my life more then to have a child. So I just ask that we all keep each other encouraged and pray that this works the first time. I'm 27 and my hubby is 26 we never thought we would be in this situation. I guess that how life is. So please keep us lifted in prayer. :)
I'll keep you posted as time goes on in my cycle.

Hi Tonyacheek

This is a good place to vent!! I agree, it is hard when you want something so bad and others dont even have to try. At least now you are starting your treatment, so are going in the right direction. I will keep you in my prayers that it all works out for you.
Good luck!

hi tony,
everyone here dreams and worries about the same thing, but you can't let that stress your body. just keep praying that's all we can do.
you know i received a neg. and it broke my heart but that doesn't mean you'll have the same results. sometimes i sit here and think that i'll never have a child but then when i read other peoples postings i know one day i will achive my dreams. some of these women are older and/or have other problems and they still get positives. i never thought i would ever be in this situation either but we are and we just have to take it day by day. we have to believe that it will work for us. keep me posted, i'll keep you posted on when my next cycle is. i have a consultation with the doctor in a couple of days. I'll pray for all you ladies.
i have a prayer.

Our Father, my spouse and I bow our knees unto You.
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ of whom the whole family in heaven and on earth is named, we pray that you would grant to us according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might by Your Spirit in the inner man. Christ dwells in our hearts by faith, that we - being rooted and grounded in love- may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height of the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that we might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Hallelujah, we praise You, O Lord, for You give children to the childless wife, so that she becomes a happy mother. And we thank You that You are the One who is building our family. As Your children and inheritors through Jesus Christ, we receive Your gift- the fruit of the womb, Your child as our reward.

We praise You, our Father, in Jesus' name, for we know that whatsoever we ask, we receive of You, because we keep Your commandments, and do those things which are pleasing in Your sight.

Thank You, Father, that we are a fruitful vine within our house; our children will be like olive shoots around our table. Thus shall we be blessed because we fear the Lord.

Hello There,
Everyone is nervous through this whole process. At different times we are nervous about different things but if we've got this far it's becasue we are all desperate to have that baby.

You'll find lots of support over on the general forum. Just join in with the relevant cycle - ther is an August and September thread up and running. This is now my 3rd IVF and I don't know what I would have done without everyone to support me.

I hope that things go well for you.

Hi Tony,

You know until I started reading thid site I thought I was the only one you saw pregnant women everywhere! I never noticed before. And I am always questioning why it is so easy for others and not me. Why?????

I will pray that things go your way this time and vent as much as you want!

Take care and try to stay positive

Hi Tonya,

Welcome to the boards. I'm 28, and we started trying when we were both 26. I guess you never figure anything is wrong until you actually try to use it.

We have an Under 30 thread over in the General Forum, for those of us exactly in your situation. Come join us when you're ready.
