Hello - bloating after blastocyst transfer

Postby kimberliez » Fri Oct 14, 2005 6:26 am

I'm new to this forum.

I've been undergoing IVF treatment for the last month. Last week, I had blastocyst transfer. Since then I've had very bad bloating problem, to a point that I cannot walk, or feel very uncomforable sitting up.

Has anyone experience the same, and do you know what are the risks and how to releave the bloatedness?

Hope you can help.

Hi Kimberlie,
Welcome to this Forum..
If you post on this thread called "Oct 2ww" in the General Forum, you'll be able to speak with lots of ladies going through the waiting period before their test date..
Abt the bloating, I cant be of much help there except to tell you that it could be due to OHSS or the hormones overacting due to the implantation..
So it could be a good sign..
Wishing you lots of luck!

Hi Kimberlie...have your clinic said anything? have they asked to see you to check everything is OK? this level of bloating sounds more pronounced than many get.

I had ET last week too and went back today to be checked out for a persistent pain over the ovary I had EC from (all 3 of my follies were on one side). They found nothing and the blood test showed no infection, which was a relief. I'd suggest pushing your clinic to check you out.

I hope you feel more comfortable very soon.

Hi Kimberlie

I've had bloating and terrible discomfort for 7 days after each of my ECs - to the point where I've been bent double and unable to straighten up. Day 8 was the light ...

Hope you feel better soon.
