I am new to this board and to IVF and I was wondering if someone can help me with questions I have.

I had my transfer yesterday and have had lower back pain and minor abdominal pain on and off all day today. Is this normal.

Hi, yes pains like that are very normal if you've had EC/ER recently. It's often the ovaries 1. shrinking after having been vastly inflated and 2. repairing having had follicles ruptured.

You might want to have a look at the 2ww (2 week wait) thread running on the General Forum. It's full of people counting off the days until test day.

best of luck

Hi ALR115,
As Debra says the pains are normal. I couldn't walk for days after ET. Laying down is better than sitting as sitting puts more weight on the ovaries. So just try to take things easy. Are you back at work?? if you are unlucky enough to have to work that is. I took most of the 2ww off. Not because I wanted to relax but more because I had so much abdo pain.
Fingers crossed and lots of luck
