Postby imelda » Wed May 24, 2006 1:26 pm

Hi... My name Imelda 34 from Indonesia. I will start IVF next month, in Singapore. So far I am familiar with the procedures.
But i think i have lots of problems. I am obbese, 164 metres/5,38 Feet with 75Kg/165pounds :(
I also has a very high cholestrol level (250 Total, LDL very high)
What do you think about my condition? What will happened? What should I do? Should I postpone?
Please help me to share your experience. Thanks alot

Hi Imelda, I don't know much about obesity but I reckon you've got much better odds of getting a positive result if you are a healthy weight. At my clinic in the UK they didn't go into health issues at all so it may be worth you approaching a fertility expert who can talk to you about it. You really need a lot of mental strength and good health to get through it with any sanity left!

Hi Imelda,
Firstly good luck with your IVF
i myself am a little over weight but the drugs do that to me, i do know we have many over weight women at the clinic i attend (USA) my DR's are very fussy at who they will accept for treatment and none of those women have been refused so although its better for you and baby for you to be in the best condition you can be in i dont think weight itself will interfere with your treatment.
you could do both maybe working on a better weight for you and your baby may help take off some of the pressure with IVF i think anything else to think about helps during this roller coaster ride we are all on, you just need a pma you can do it ,you will be fine, and and you will be well and happy with your growning bump.....

Love hugs and baby dust Debz
Me 42 ,DH 45 ...3 IVF's BFN
Mommy to my beautiful girls Gabby(4) and Kenzie(2)

Now on Face Book pm me for information..
