By the end of this Year I know I will never have children

Postby trudi » Wed Jun 21, 2006 7:37 am

Hi Everyone

By the either the end of this year or when I get my blood test back, I will know that I will never have Children.

What will I do, I need a purpose and I have tried to find one, but to no avail.

What do other women do? I am married, I work, but what is the point to it all. I cannot see the point just to get up in the morning, to go to work to pay the bills each month. I try to tell myself that a baby is not that important to my life and there are many things I can do, but I see couples with their baby and I feel to incomplete and dead inside.

Please could anyone help.

Thank you

im sorry to read how depressed you seem....life can be cruel and im sure their are plenty of women in the same boat as you....

i embarked on ivf which i went private....and to my surprise it worked 1st time, which was not expected.....like you i thought i would never have a child with my partner...i had all kinds of problems and treatments for pre-cancerous cells and cysts....now endometriosis and both tubes damaged.. i dont know your background or what is wrong medically.....but DONT give up.....
there are many different ways to go......if you cant have ivf or any other treatment there is always adoption.....mabye surrogacy.... if ivf and other treatment isnt for you then what does it matter where a child comes from??? i want a child to love and share with my partner and if i had to go to the ends of the earth for that bundle of love then so be it....

whatever your future holds....i hope it brings you happiness....

You are just like me when I found out I would never had any child. It hurt so bad. Especially I love children a lot and my reason for married was for having my own children. But I think nobody can help but me. I started to search any procedure that can help me. It is been 3.5 years, finally I find IVF is the best solution for me.
I don't know your problem but there is always a way. Don't give up. Keep pray. GBU

Hi, welcome to the boards, but sorry you sound so down. Are there no other options you could try. I dont know your history, but could you not try IVF further, or maybe adopt. If you have given up on IVF there is a forum on here called life after IVF, which is for people who have given up with IVF and gone on to adopt etc. Both me and my DH are unable to have children as I cant release eggs and DH cant release sperm! But we have managed to get 2 babies so miracles do happen. Good luck with whatever you choose. Try posting your story on the general board where you will find lots of support and maybe someone will have an answer for you. From my experience the ladies on this board know much more about IVF etc than the doctors. Good luck again.
