Hi Everybody - just did IVF for 2nd time

Postby oldegg » Wed Sep 13, 2006 7:38 pm

Just started reading your little forum here after feeling a little sad. I guess I needed to read about other people that are going thru the same things. Been trying to have a baby for almost 3 years now. I am 43 years old, I have 2 teenagers, got divorced, got remarried and found this great guy who is 10 yrs younger, never had kids. We decided to try and have a baby. We've been working on this for almost 3 years now. I've tried everything and now have been doing IVF. I did my first IVF earlier this year and got pregnant in April and then miscarried in June. Did 2nd IVF on Sept 1st and was expecting happy results on sept 12th. But blood test at the lab got messed up have to give blood again on 9/14 but it doesn't look good. I don't think it worked... I don't feel pregnant at all and just started feeling depressed thinking of doing this all over again!!

hey girl chin up-I feel for you-I'm in the same boat. Have been ttcing for 3yrs 2 rounds IVF failed had 6embryos frozen and had FET(frozen embryo transfer) 9/7 will test on the 21st. I don't feel any different either.
Not even boob pain-I can't even say it's the progestrone shots this time because I don't feel anything!! The only thing that keeps me looking up is the fact that some woman have said they had NO symptoms and were SHOCKED they got a bfp. Even thoughs that had been pg before w/ all the classic symptoms and 2nd pg not a sign they were. So maybe it's fate that the test for you was changed but I too would be heart broken especially after waiting so long as it was. Good luck to us both

good luck to you too! I know how anxious you get just waiting for the day you find out if it worked or not. I have to go back this morning for another blood test - i'm trying to stay positive but it's hard when you don't feel or have any symptoms... I guess we'll see. I just have to wait till later on this afternoon to hear back from the office.

My fingers are crossed for you too!!
