Hey Ladies

Court: Your numbers are high! Your next test is Thursday??

CKL: I am so sorry you are tired. Me tooo!

Well I got home my boobs were getting more and more sore through out the day. They are now a whole size bigger. Now keep in mind I was already a size C. Now I am a D. My husband is following me around like a puppy. My bras are literally too small cup wise now!! Ugh. I've also been having nausea. Nothing I can't deal with so far but ewwww. I am the type of person that will do ANYTHING not to puke! I also feel really full. I have to force myself to eat something. Enough whining for me it is allllll worth it!!

Love to All

Hi Ladies,

I love all this good news and wish I had some of my own to share but unfortunately we got a BFN today. It was a sad morning but the rest of the day wasn't so bad. Since this was our second try I'm going to take a little time off before we try again. We still have 3 frozen embies waiting on us so all hope is not lost. I know that God has a plan for me and DH so I'm remainaing optimistic and prayful. You all have been a wonderful support for me so big THANK YOU to all of you prego's. I'll still continue to check it to see how you all are progressing.

Good luck on your beta Sonya...I know you'll get a BFP!!!!

Hi Ladies!

It's exciting to read about the many BFPs. It will be very exciting to read about how many of you are carrying twins! I know we're not supposed to wish for twins but alas, after all the hard work, praying and trying, tis hard not to see it as a bonus, huh?

Sassy,

I was sorry to read about your disappointment but I am encouraged by the thought of your frozen embies. I'll keep you and DH in my thoughts. Enjoy one another and take care of yourselves. The ride is not over. Another opportunity awaits you.

As for us, I have to work on convincing my DH to consider adoption again. He says he would have been happy with another addition to the family but he's not really cut out for all of the emotional highs and lows of assisted reproduction or adoption. I'm desperately trying to get him to see things my way, as I don't feel complete.

We are looking into embryo adoption but that appears to be a long shot. We've placed a few ads and joined a list that matches donors and recipients privately. Time will tell but not many couples donate. Even fewer donations involve biracial/multicultural embryos. We'll see.

There are a few agencies that handle embryo adoptions but the process leaves much to be desired when going through an agency. I would adopt a waiting child before going that route.

Best wishes to all of you lovely women. Stay warm on this cold, damp day.

Hugs,

Hi Girls, I saw your posting and wanted to say hello and wish you good luck on your journeys. I live in Durham and used NCCRM in Cary. On our first try, we had success (I am currently at 37 weeks and can't wait to meet our little girl)! I would highly reccommend them if any of you feel the need to try a different place. They have one of the highest success rates in the country, and they offer several satelite locations.

Best wishes to you all. It is great to see some other NC ladies around here!

This was posted on another thread and I thought some of you might enjoy it.

Quote:
What do I think God meant when He gave me infertility? (Excerpted from a post on another IVF Board)

Couples experiencing infertility often receive well-meaning but extremely insensitive “advice.” We can all list the most popular ones: “Just relax and you’ll get pregnant,” or “adopt and you’ll get pregnant,” or “things happen for a reason“, or the most painful from those who think they’ve got the goods on God’s plan, “Maybe God never meant for you to have children.” The sheer audacity of making a statement like that never fails to amaze me.

These same people would never walk up to someone seeking treatment for cancer and say, “Maybe God never meant for you to live.” However, because of infertility, the woman is supposed to get on with her life. It’s hard to understand that people can not see infertility for what it is, a disease for which treatment must be sought. What if Jonas Salk had said to the parents of polio victims, “Maybe God meant for thousands of our children to be cripples, live in an iron lung or die.” What if he’d never tried to find a cure? Who could think for one minute that that was God’s plan?

What do I think God meant when He gave me infertility?

I think he meant for my husband and I to grow closer, become stronger, love deeper. I think God meant for us to find the fortitude within ourselves to get up every time infertility knocks us down. I think God meant for our medical community to discover medicines, invent medical equipment, create procedures and protocols. I think God meant for us to find a cure for infertility.

No, God never meant for me not to have children. That’s not my destiny; that’s just a fork in the road I’m on. I’ve been placed on the road less traveled, and, like it or not, I’m a better person for it. Clearly, God meant for me to develop more compassion, deeper courage, and greater inner strength on this journey to resolution, and I haven’t let Him down.

Frankly, if the truth be known, I think God has singled me out for a special treatment. I think God meant for me to build a thirst for a child so strong and so deep that when that baby is finally placed in my arms, it will be the longest, coolest, most refreshing drink I’ve ever known.

While I would never choose infertility, I can not deny that a fertile woman could never know the joy that awaits me. Yes, one way or another, I will have a baby of my own. And the next time someone wants to offer me unsolicited advice I’ll say, “Don’t tell me what God meant when He handed me infertility. I already know.”

Congratulations

Postby I'm a survivor » Fri Apr 13, 2007 4:13 am

First, I want to say congratulations to all the sisters who are pregnant! Secondly, I want to thank the sister who sent that beautiful email written on anther message board. My name is Amina. I live in the University area of Charlotte. I moved here 2 1/2 years ago from NY. I live in the Highland Creek Community. I want to congratulate you all on your honest sharing and openness. Ashely and Sara, sisters, God has a plan for us and we are not failures. He has a plan for all of actually and disappointments are part of His plan. I am 37 years old. My husband and I do not have children. I have had both fallopian tubes remived in 1995 as a result two ectopic pregnacies. Since 1996, I have had 5, yes I said five, failed IVF attempts. I am a soldier. Eacgh time, I have had at least 19 eggs retrieved and at least 12 were" good". Well, I went to three different clinics in NY and no one can explain why my procedures did not work. Currently, my gyn has placed me on metformin because she believes this may be one reason why I have not conceived because I am insulin resistant. I have endured heartache and disappoinments for the last eleven years. I have not yet given up. Yes, after each attempt I thought I was through because the let down is devastating to say the least. However, God has sent angels each time to give me verbal jewels which leads me to believe it will happen in His time. I cannot thank each of you enough for sharing yourself. I have been reading each of your emails for two hours. I am sooooooo glad to know I am not alone. My last IVF attempt was October 2004. It took me this long to get acclimated to my new surroundings and get comfortable with the fact it's ok to try again. I will be trying again, God willing in a few months. I am saving money for the procedure. I look forward to meeting with you ladies real soon . Please let me know if it is possible to meet you all. Let's keep the prayers going for our sisters having babies and the ones of us who are waiting! We are all survivors! Have a blessed and prosperous day.
First seek ye the kingdom of God and all else will be added unto you.

IT'S OFFICAL......BFP

We are still in shock! I knew that this was probably the answer but it is just overwhelming to know that we are pregnant. My HCG level was 460. Is this high with IVF?

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Sorry for the selfish post
Love Sonya
