Hi

I have just had one failed IVF attempt and am going back to see my consultant again on 14 March so will probably be starting another cycle round about April or May time. Are you on your first attempt?
Would be pleased to have someone to share it with.

I am having a polisectomy (sp) in early March. I am then hoping to start Lupron in May. Trying to get everything planned perfectly. Am anxious to talk to people who are on, or close to, my same cycle.

Hi. I am having surgery to repair a hydrosalpinx in early March, then beginning IVF with my April cycle. This is our first attempt at IVF.

hi Alin11, hrobinson and Lee welcome im on my second attempt of ICSI/IVF we had our first try back in December of 2005 after many failed attempts of IUI. Sadly our first try ended in BFN and i was left in hospital for three days after hyper-stimulation from the drugs

we start second IVF natural cycle this time round about 23rd April and if i can help with any questions you may have i will try to help but also it will be nice to have cycle buddies as when i did my first try i felt so alone and that i was the only one gong through this wish im shure you all may be feeling at the min. But now ive fond this forum its opened my eyes to a lot that im not the only one going through this im also on the december/ january board in the general forum and that ladies on there are amazing what they have and we are going through the support ive had is amazing.
So as im not due to start till April i thought it would be nice to have my own forum with ladies and mite i say men who are cycling around the same time

I am so excited to be going through all this with some wonderful women/men. This is my second time going through IVF...First one resulted in a beautiful daughter. I am optimistic that it took the first time it will take again. However, I am going through this with different circumstances this time. My endo. has returned and I am hoping this will not play a major/drastic factor to this.
I have forgotten how the whole "procedure" goes. So, let's just keep each other posted on where we are with everything.
Thanks so much for starting this site:)

This may be a stupid question...what exactly does it mean by "natural"? I get no medicine. So, are they just going to do an ET based on your normal cycle? I have just never heard of this.

Hello all

It looks like there are going to be a few of us. I was on my own first time around apart from my husband of course who is fantastic! How are you doing a cycle on your natural cycle mom20?

I have premature ovarian failure so have to take loads of drugs!! Going to check my FSH levels this time again as if they are too high then there is less hope of a pregnancy. Has anyone tried accupuncture with IVF?

It seems like we all have different problems too, sorry hrobinson not sure what a polisectomy is? Or what a hydrosalpinx is? Alin.

I do feel more relaxed about it this time though as I know more what to expect, may be able to answer questions about the process as we just finished it 2 weeks ago. Will be glad to be of help if I can.

Hi again everyone! To hrobinson-I also have endo. Was only diagnosed in December but appartently I've had it long enough that it's destroying my ovaries and has destroyed my tubes. I dont know how my old Doctor did not pick up on this earlier, I've been through so many tests for infertility and she told me I had fibroids, or polyps,(which I dont!!)... But she never picked up on the endo, and now it has done all this damage. I am 31(DH is 35) and my doc said that my ovaries are that of "someone much older"...... I have a Hydrosalpinx, Lee- that just means I have inflamed, fluid filled tubes. My Doc says(and I have read online) that the fluid can be dangerous to embryos, and cause miscarriage, and prevent implantation, etc ....It has also been shown to reduce IVF success by 50%!! So I am having the proedure to remove my tubes prior to beginning our first cycle. We were supposed to start IVF this month, but I didnt want to leave the hydro and take any chances!! This is too much to go through to leave anything to chance!
We went to a required "medication class" Monday night and it was quite overwhelming. They told us all the specific meds we will be taking, and how to do an injection, and all that fun stuff. I am a little nervous, not about all the medication or shots , but just how I already feel so drained and we havent even started yet! Sounds silly, especially when ladies like mom20 have alrady been through so much! mom20-we will also be using ICSI since DH's morphology was low. That is where we're at for right now...My surgery is scheduled for March 14, and if my timing is right, my April cycle should start around April 21!! I wish everyone the best of luck, health, and babydust as we take this journey together!

Alin11 i wish you the best of luck with the surgery and dont feel silly about feeling so drained.Even though you havent started yet. When we were going through all the tests b4 we started i too felt this way i use to cry all the time thinking why me all my friends were getting pregant and i wanted one so much and it just wasnt happening. Im shure your feeling this way at the min this process is such an emotional roller coaster ride to be on just know were here for you not matter if your just beggining or are on your 2nd try. You probably feel more anxcious than me now not knowing what to expect but you need to stay positive and think of what could happen in the long run thats what keeps me going

hugs to you

AliN11- Wow, you too have been through a lot. I too had the fluid in my tube, and had it removed. It was a simple procedure, but emotionally it was hard. it made me realize that there was no chance of ever having a child on my own.
As far as having endo, and it just being diagnosed....My mother and I have done tons of reserach on endo. Some people have it extremely severe, yet have no symptoms. Some have all he symptoms. I believe the only way they can decide for sure that you have endo is by doing a "lap". There is no telling how long I had it before it was detected. I had started becoming suspicious about 7 years ago, then I had an ovary burst and that was how it was figured out. It was also interesting becuause the doctor who did my laporatomy said that my obgyn should have suspected when I had exams because they should have been painful. They never were?!?! I even had a doctor tel me that I didn't have it and was wasting my money by having the surgery.
Anyway, my story could go on forever.
Best of luck to you. I just know you will end up with a little one:)
