It's Friday! Woo-hoo!

Esperanza: YAY!! It's so great to have a date to work towards, isn't it!! I think a lot of us on this thread will have an ET or FET around that date too!

Neffi: Thanks for starting the American Idol thread. It is refreshing to talk/think about things other than IVF! I'm impressed you know the names of so many of the contestants. I haven't posted much on that thread because I still don't know who's who!!

Nicaliw: How long are the foster care classes (weeks, months?). Do you know when you'll be paired with a child? Do you have a say (or preference) on gender or age? Apparently, I have a lot of questions about that! It's sounds really exciting!

How is everyone else on this March/April thread?

Things here are good. Not much to report, really. I go in Monday for my Lupron evaluation. I'm ready to get this party started---so I'm hoping I get the green light to start Follistim and Menopur that night! Time will tell....

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hi ladies! Its a beautiful day here in CO, feels like Spring already. Too bad there's a snow storm heading in on Sunday.

I'm feeling pretty happy today, AF arrived yesterday and my FET has been set for April 4th....just 5 weeks away....YAY!

Esperanza, wow, your transfer will be here in no time, thats not even 3 weeks away.

In response to your questions about foster care.....it is a very exciting process. The training classes are one evening a week for 8 weeks. There's no cost and you do get to choose the age, gender, ethnicity of the children. We are going to do foster-adoption of an infant under 6 months. I know it seems like a lot but we feel like speeding up the growth of our familly. If we have twins through IVF and adopt one baby I'd be ecstatic but we'll take whatever comes, too. The whole process includes a home study, too, and takes about 4 months to be ready to accept babies. I'm guessing we'll be ready by July. We'll just play it by ear and see how it all unfolds. If we don't get pregnant between now and then we'll take the first child placement offered to us. I'm pretty determined to be a mother to more babies, as you can see.

Well, my dog is barking and I need to go and get some exercise.

Take care all!

Nikki

Hi girls!!

It seems like forever since I last posted. I just haven't had much going on. The FET cycle is quite boring!! I finally took my last BCP last night. I get to start Estradiol shots next week!

Esperanza... We have our ET on the same day! March 19th!! The excitement for me is finally starting to kick in!

Neffi... Since my DH and I have been TTC, I have had this same situation happen to me at least 3-4 times. I would feel sad, start crying, feel sorry for myself, and the worst part... feel jealous!! These are very natural feelings. I also think one of the difficult parts of this is no one else understands what we are going through.

I think the acupuncture treatments I'm doing is helping in some way. I do feel more relaxed.

Hopefully, this will be our time to be the one sharing the good news with our friends!!

Hugs,
Ann D.

Hey girls!

Ann d-- I know the jealousy is horrible...I want to be soo happy for her! I am feeling better today though. Yesterday was just a shock I guess. I have had 9 people tell me they were pregnant since TTC, but because she is so close I guess thats why it hurts so much!

How is everyone else doing?

Rlk1- What going on with you??

How has everyones weekend been?

I have my Bon Jovi concert tonight! So I am excited about that! I hope AF comes by tomorrow morning otherwise I have to cancel my baseline appt!

Neffi - I just had to answer your post. My best friend told me 5 months ago she was pregnant and i can remember thinking to myself. Oh my god, Shes not even in a steady relationship why her and not me, ive got more to offer.
How nasty is that. This is my best friend.
Then 2 months ago my brother told me they were expecting child number 3 and this time they wanted a girl (they have 2 boys) And i thought, I hope you get another boy   I just want them sometimes to feel half the pain we do. Cruel isnt it. I think i have an evil mind. Even though i really dont wish them any harm and love them its just hard to except sometimes isnt it :(

Neffi, I totally understand how you feel about others being pregnant. Literally right after my BFP that was followed by a miscarriage, 3 women I work with all announced they are pregnant. NONE of them were trying and 1 is having twins! Since then, another one has announced her pregnancy, too. So pretty much any day I'm at work there's at least one or two of them there and they're always scanning each other and listening to each other's baby's heartbeats (I'm a labor and delivery nurse, so easy access to these things). Some days I just go into the bathroom and cry cause I can't handle any more. They know how I feel but I tell them I don't expect anyone to stop being excited about their pregnancy or talking about it. Its really my problem, not theirs.....but it really SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Anyway, enough of the self pitty. I started BCP's a couple of days ago and will be starting lupron on Thursday. It's definitely a lot easier doing this FET cycle, I feel like I should be on more meds or something after last time.....I will enjoy this one more I think.

Hello to everyone! Watching and waiting for some BFPs soon!

Hi beautiful ladies.

How are you all doing?

I'm bored!
This cycle never ends....

Had my scan today (again) and just a little improvement on my lining.
It is now 8.4...and another scan booked for Thursday.

Because im doing a natural cycle was told to do from tomorrow the ovulation test. The transfer will be 5days after that.
Although i'm on day 19 of my cycle i think i have not ovulated yet because lately my cycles have been of 40days.

I hope i didn't miss the ovulation otherwise i will have to wait for next AF :(

I was just thinking that if it happens tomorrow then that means that the transfer will be on Sunday and on Sunday i have to go to my cousin baby shower (how convenient!). I will have to come out with a really good excuse!!! Any suggestions??

Nothing much to report.
Luv to all,

Anie :)

Hi ladies!

I've been MIA too long--there's been so many postings on this thread it's hard to keep up!

Anie: Here's wishing you ovulate soon!! As far as excuses...hmmmm. Maybe you could say you came down with food poisoning?!? That's something where you could call the morning of the shower and say, "I don't know what happened. My DH and I went out to dinner last night and I'm sick as a dog." I can assure you she'll understand. Who wants to be around someone who has "food poisoning"?!?

Neffi: I feel your pain!! All of my friends are Fertile Mertyl. It drives me nuts. I can't tell you how many times my friends have called to say that they're pregnant and when we hang up the phone I just bawl!! It's gotten pretty bad lately, I'm ashamed to say. My husband and I went to dinner Saturday night and this pregnant woman walked in with her two kids. My DH said I glared at her when she walked in. Oops!! I'm gonna blame that one on Lupron!! But, come on, she already had TWO KIDS. Did she really need to rub her pregnant belly in my face too?!? Okay, fine, she was no where near me. But you get the drift...

Nicaliw: Lupron starts on Thursday, huh? I hope you tolerate it better than I have! How long do you need to be on it for FETs? Is your FET scheduled for the end of the month? Sounds like you'll have a full house with the foster-adoption and when you get your BFP with twins (it WILL happen with this FET!!).

Ann d. and Esperanza: Only 16 more days!! How exciting!!

What's new with the rest of you girls?

As for me, I had my Lupron evaluation today. They saw 7 on the right and 8 on the left. I got a call this afternoon that my B/W looked good so I officially start stimming tonight. YAYY!! I'm really hoping it works this time.

I hope all is well with everyone! It's so great to hear how everyone's progressing!

Hey Ladies!

Anie-- Oh I hope you did not miss your ovulation! Do you test for it? I hope everything works out...waiting sucks! Oh and Im sure you can think of an excuse to miss the baby shower! The food poisoning isnt a bad idea! Or the flu, since its really going around!

Dawn and Nicaliw-- thanks for the kind words....it takes me a couple days to get over the fact that my friends are pregnant! I am very excited for her, I just hope it works for me this time so that we can be pregnant together! Nicaliw-- hows the Lupron going??

Rlk1--Oh good you get to start stimming today! YAY!!! 15 follies is good too! When do you go back??

As for me..I canceled my baseline appt this morning...I had very light spotting this morning, but when I called the RE this morning, they said they wanted me to wait until tomorrow morning. I just got my period about 5 mins ago! Which is good casue I dont want to wait any longer. So baseline is tomorrow at 8:30 so I think I will start stimming probably Wed.

Hi friends,

rhal--WELCOME!!! I'm so excited for you! I'm doing FET too. Mine is scheduled for 3/19...yay! sending you lots of sticky baby dust.

Nicali--Thank you for the list. how wonderful! Sorry it's so tough at work for you. I perfectly understand you; I did art therapy for about 6 moths to cope with my loss. One of my friends had a miscarriage after me, and we have bonded around that to support each other. It's tough. BEAR HUGS TO YOU!

I hear you about the FET being easier, I feel the same way. Right now I'm only on estrace pills. I won't even be doing lupron, but I will have to do a few days of something else (can't remember the name right now).

Neffi--yesssss...so glad to hear that AF showed her ugly face! Best wishes with your baseline today.

rlik1 --good to hear from you. Yay, getting the 'go ahead' for stimming is so exciting. Grow follies GROW!

Anie--yeah, I hear you about being bored, although I have so much school work AND work-work to do that I hardly have time to get bored these days. I confess that part of the reason I have so much work is because I "waste" a lot of time thinking and planning for the babies ;o) It's so distracting.

I hope you haven't missed ovulation. Keep us posted. About ideas, I think that food poisoning is a great excuse. There's a nasty bug going around, so saying that you caught it would be perfect too! who wants to make a pregnant woman sick? right?

Ann d.-- how cool is that!!! we are on the same day...yay, I'll have another 2ww buddy! there's a woman in the Dec/Jan thread that has her FET on the 19th as well. :) this is OUR time...these babies are coming home by the end of the year! oh, I'm doing acupuncture too, don't you love it?

As for me, I went for my first b/w yesterday. The nurse called me twice, the second time she told me that because of my values, there was no need to do an ultrasound on Thursday as we had planned. I called her this morning to clarify that, and she said that "it was a good thing!" yiipiiii...now I need to go back on Friday for b/w only. yeah! babies are on their way home with mama and papa

Luv to everyone.
